induction
So my nerves are now running rampant!! My actual dr called me this morning saying that my platelets have dropped again to 116,000 from 125,000. And that was about a week and a half ago. He doesn't want them to get too low while waiting until next week so I'm getting induced this sunday ? for some reason I'm so nervous!!!!!!!!
I didn't get a chance to ask the dr if I'll be induced the normal way. I've had a previous c section and the first Dr said she wouldn't induce me of the risk if uterine rupture. But this dr is inducing me. I wonder if there's a different way to induce if you've had a prev c section
My inductions were quick as well but I was over 10 and 12 days with them so very ready! I think if they were natural labours they would be just as quick from start of the induction they were 4 hours and 3 1/2 hours. My Midwife counts from the start of he active labour and thinks my second was more 1 1/2 hours.
My inductions were super fast but my body was ready. For me, getting to 5 cm took the longest, then 5-birth was 4 hours with the first, and 1 hour with the second. I think trying to put it pour of your mind is a great idea. If you can’t, you can look up info on bishop score and low dose pitocin protocols. That helped me a lot to know what was going on!
Thank you plantains. I'm going to try not to think about it anymore. Just go in there without any expections and see how it works out!!
When you get induced, do you have a shorter labor? Trying to see what I'm up against ?
@anne good luck!! Why did your dr decided to induce you?
