Holiday

My oh said he'd like to go away for 4 days to a week in March but without our lg, she will be 11 months and I just don't know how I feel about it, has anybody else gone away without there lo's and how old were they? X

It is definitely personal preference.

I wouldn't do it.

It's not about trust. My mum is amazing with my son and would cope great with him and I trust her completely. But when I decided to start a family with my husband I was making the decision that it would no longer be two of us but three...what's that well used quote from Lilo and Stitch... "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind..."

I've left my son for 3 nights I think it was while me & husband went away in a log cabin (after him being away a few months with work), I did call to check a lot but I know he has so much fun there everyone's always round making a fuss and taking him out places he gets well looked after so I don't worry to much it depends if you know you'll be happy or not he was 9 month at the time xx

We leave him for over night stays but never for more than 24 hours. However if you feel comfortable with leaving her with someone you trust go for it x

I could never leave my daughter for 4 days - the only time I have left her for 2 nights is when my dad passed away. I would just miss her so much and not have a nice time anyway. But, my sister leaves her son to go away for holidays and she is happy to do it so I guess it's each to their own. I sometimes wish I could be more easy going about leaving her but when she is not near me, I just can't relax! I might feel differently when I have 2 though ? x

We went away for a week when my son was 1, it was really hard to say goodbye but he went away with my parents and sister and had an amazing time. I would say if your gonna do it do it before 1 maybe? It was lovely to have some Us time and he didn't seem phased at all :) I trust my mum 100% I wouldn't have been able to leave him with anyone else mind you x

My first is 6 I've never been away without him I love taking him on holidays we even took him on our honeymoon so I personally couldn't do it. He's actually going away without me next week for the first time and I'm going to miss him so much lol xx

I personally feel that happy parents make happy children and it's so important to make time for your relationship I would go. We went away for 5 days just before my daughters first birthday. She loved staying with my parents and was really good to just relax and be a couple again x

My sons 2 and a half and i don't think I'd leave him to go abroad for a number of reasons.. My husband works a lot and I wouldn't want to spend a week that he had off without our boy to enjoy it with too being the main one! X

Took my son at 11 months by train from Nottingham to Dundee then flight to Corfu and a weeks cruise! He loved it!

I've been away for 4 nights twice to ibiza and Majorca with just my husband, and we regularly go away for 1 night, we have lots of very close family but the kids have only ever stayed with either their grandparents or aunty who is trained in child care anyway. I trust them completely. We all see each other all the time so I feel totally comfortable leaning them in their care but I still cried everyday and was on the phone 5 times a day lol!

Saying that we have also had quite a lot of family holidays abroad and in the uk but if it was that we could only afford one we would go with our children.

It's whatever u feel comfortable with, but ppl do judge xx

Can you not all go somewhere together? First family holidays are lovely. We took our DD abroad at 6 months, it was probably best hol we've had!

Personally I wouldn't. I particularly wouldn't like to be out of the country. I think the longest id go away for is 2nights and I wouldn't want to be more than a couple of hours away.

We went away for 1 week in July ds is 2 in September and I honestly wouldn't do it again. I enjoyed the break but missed him so much

We'd probably leave her with my oh's mum at our house and then my mum lives 2 minutes away. So I wouldn't be worried in that respect, I think I'm more concerned at the fact we'll be in a different country! And I would miss her so much! Thanks for all your opinions and advice ?

I think it'll do you good to go away as long as you trust the person who's looking after her, it's not like your going to America for 2 weeks whilst your baby is only 2weeks old (my sil!!) she's old enough to see it as a holiday herself staying with someone but young enough she won't resent you for it lol xx

I'm due in November and have plans to escape without children next May/June!! Not sure how I'll feel but know it'll do me and hubby the world of good. Cannot wait! X

Only you can make that decision.

I had to go away for a 15 wk course sun-fri every week for work when ds was 2 I hated it. I knew he was with dh and safe but I hated it.

I have just got a new job offer but will have to be away for 4 day blocks for 3 lots when dd will only be 6 wks if she arrives on time. Just don't think I can do it and taking the kids is not an option. ?

This subject always causes arguments but each to their own! I think you should go but that's MY opinion, everyone should have and deserves time out sometimes and if you trust the person or people you leave your child or children with then why not. X

There is a saying " people say don't have children - travel the world , I say have children - let them see the world with you " .

Personally I couldn't but everyone and everyone's relationship is different! My friend has just been abroad for 5 days without her 3 1/2 month old! For me holidays are family time and I wouldn't enjoy it without my little boy & baby girl once she's here! I think a night away break with my OH I would do but nothing more, but everyone is different do what feels right for you & your family x

Personally I could never go away a week without my children , my youngest is nearly 2 and I still feel that's to long to leave her . Maybe when she is a lot older . I think a night or 2 nights is plenty - for me anyway x

I find it pretty hilarious how people who have shown their true colors on social media snake away, delete the posts that outed them and come back on social media like nothing happened. Why do that, you outed yourself, so stay out. We still see you boo boo...

So I came across a video on YouTube of how to take a home pregnancy test without the pee on the stick tests

I came across a video that shows how to take a test with your pee and bleach

What do you lady’s think of that

Have any of you tried it ?

I was curious so I did it

bodybycheetos No, a pregnancy test can be bought for a dollar. Nobody needs to be playing with bleach
brownsugarluv I just want to know why? Instead of taking a home pregnancy test. 🤷🏽‍♀️
