You will hear good & bad experience's about every hospital. Best thing to do is ask your midwife how many she will let in.
Where I'm going my midwife is happy to allow 3-4 if they are helpful & she is happy to ask people to leave if she feels they are not supportive/helpful. where the midwife I had whilst my usual was on holiday is strictly 2 people.
As I said just ask any question straight up they will be happy to answer. :-)

Feesha84 ,I am going to Logan but am having a c-section,but I went for the Maternity unit tour on Saturday and I think they said 2-3but u can swap people over ,I recommend going to the tour it is at 10am every Saturday morning that way u can ask a midwife as doctors at Logan probably won't know and I am also sure the one I meet said every midwife is different.when are u due,and when is anyone else delivering at Logan?

Skylouise ,that is a very close minded thing to say ,there have been shooting around lots of places in the the richer suburbs.the doctor and midwife still have a duty of care to us and so far that for me has been great ,I went private first time and didn't get anything really better other than a single room.

@jas101 do you need to book for the tour? this is my first baby in Aus and I'm a little apprehensive so think that would be great for me!

No bobby just go to the main reception on Saturday at about 9:45am and say u are there for a tour of Maternity and a midwife will come down and show u through we had about 10couples and u can ask questions.Bobby when are due and is this your first.

Feesha at the antenatal app they will just see how u are and doctors will get a blood test arranged to make sure preggie and check bloods.I am not sure why they say urgent how old are u maybe if u were really young or older they might need to make u urgent.

thanks! no its my 4th baby but my others were all born in the UK and I knew the hospital pretty well. I don't really know anyone here apart from my hubbys family (uncles, cousins) and a couple of his friends and feeling a little lost so feels like the first time iv done it if you get what I mean?

Im 27 I have had all my blood tests to confirm with my doc and gyno I had my first scan at 6w3d bubs heart beat was 111bpm :) its due to me having glandular fever few months ago I'm still coming up positive with the virus :( they need to check my blood every 2 weeks he said as it may cause problem with bubs eyes n ears so he wants me there ASAP they said I have no idea bit freaked out by it all now but long as the virus keeps going away everything should be fine I don't really understand it all as this is my first time I just want a healthy baby
