OMG posterior(baby face up) birth anyone?
So I've known that baby has been posterior the whole pregnancy she just doesn't want to turn and won't. I didn't think to much about it. Now I'm 37 weeks and reading about it I'm freaking out. Supposedly labour can last much longer and it's more painful and harder to get baby out. Any ladies had experience with it?
I’m pregnant with my 5th baby snd somehow she is actually in the correct position for birth ? my 4 other pregnancies they were all born back to back and my labours weren’t very long , my last labour was 50 minutes start to finish so please don’t worry and scare yourself x
I delivered my first LO OP. I was in labor for over 48 hours, pushed for about 2 hours, contractions were all over the place and even pitocin didn't help when my labor stalled. I had back labor which the epidural didn't work on. It was long and tiring but in the end I was able to push him out safely though I had some tearing.
My friend's baby was OP when she went into labor but the baby turned after she labored with a bunch of pillows between her legs for about an hour. So baby can still flip right up until the end.
My daughter was born posterior position. She came out facing up. But not always true that the birthing is longer. Actually she is my 3rd and giving birth to her was super fast. I was in labor for only 5hours. My oldest two I was in labor much longer. I'm on princess number 4 I have ultrasound on the 19th let's see how she is faced.
Thanks hun that gives me some hope. I learnt of a few positions that help.
I was able to get my son off my back during labor. All fours in the hot water, and gravity did the trick. Rock your hips left to right. There's some yoga poses too. You still have some time. My sons both constantly rotated posterior and anterior and transverse all the way until labor (37 weeks with my second and sometimes in the day he's against my spine, and later he's got his back to my stomach).
My second was back to back I was in labour for 3 hours. I went from 9.5cm to him being fully delivered in 3 mins. He turned as I started pushing. Try not to worry too much about it xx
