We have a 4ft pool in the backyard. My older kids aren't allowed in it by themselves. I don't always sit outside and watch them but the doors and windows are open so I can hear them and I look out every few minutes. My 2yo isn't allowed outside without me right there cause she tries to jump in. She wears a floatie vest thing when she gets in cause the water's over her head.

No worries kimber, I don't think op meant it to upset anyone, it's probably just how she talks. I giggled because I am dramatic and blunt like that too. And I have also experienced wanting to set my hubby's ex alight lol not that I ever would in a million years, I mean I've never even been in a fight so I'd be no good as a killer ??

That's how I learned to swim. ? my parents refused to put swim floats on us and didn't pay for lessons. They pushed us in the water and told us to swim. Lol of course they were right there and would NEVER leave us unattended until we learned, but I adore the water now. My kids are 10 months old and like to "swim" I plan to teach them to not be afraid of water. Floats aren't needed IMO, I'm going to teach them to swim as opposed to relying on a floaty. Bad mom award here! Wearing it proud. ?

@lala and rubber ducky thank you for making me laugh. You made my day.

Everyone else, calm down, it's just a rant. I would fake cry if she died, I promise. ?

Technically anyone swimming should be supervised. Isn't the rule of thumb to always swim with a buddy

A child who cannot swim needs supervision by an adult until they can. That is asking for a drowning child.

I think it's said in frustration kimber, not as an actual death threat. Relax.

I'm gonna take a wild guess that this is a stepmom talking about a bio mom, am I right?

The only person who annoys me enough to wish death on them is my husbands ex ?

But seriously that's pretty silly, maybe you can help him learn to swim or teach him some simple water safety?

I don't get it. Why put your kid in danger knowingly?

Why use mother in quotes... did she give birth to him? All mothers make mistakes chalk it up to one and move on

Death by fire doesn't seem harsh enough.

Maybe death by getting mauled by a grizzly bear? ???

Seriously though, parents sound like idiots

I think wishing death is a bit much
