How many ladies in this group are Active duty (or even Reserves) military? I'm in the Navy, been in for almost 7 years. PCSing to Virginia Beach.

Ugh I'm stuck here until 2018?
NewMommy·
Malimomma, I was lucky I already had hard copy orders for Shore duty in Virginia Beach when I found out I was pregnant or I probably would have been stuck in San Diego.

Shainaboop I agree! I want the east coast sooo badly
NewMommy·
Malimomma, I just left San Diego! I was there pretty much the whole time I've been in. It's so nice but I was ready for a change. And to be closer to family.

Last time I did squats I did 115. I get a little worried but everything has been fine so far. But I understand your situation! I would be scared too. At least you're doing something, that's better than nothing for sure! And it definitely is worth it, when I get down about it I just remember that my body is doing the coolest thing ever. Growing a baby ?

205 is my PR for deadlifting! But I'm not allowed to do any weighted squats or exercises that cause me to bare down due to losing two pregnancies before this pregnancy! I still do light weight lunges and and body weight squats etc. but it still scares the hell out of me sometimes. I'm just paranoid allllll the time. You'll snap back super quick to deadlifting your normal weight afterwards though! I'm going to have to pretty much start all over but it's all worth it. I can't wait!!
NewMommy·
Right?! I was so embarrassed when I was struggling to deadlift 135 for 12 reps. My max was 225 and I was working on getting it higher. 135 was always a warm up. And my bump isn't too obvious yet if I'm wearing bigger gym shirts, just looks like I'm a little chunky. I just want to announce to everyone that I'm pregnant and don't judge me lol.

GIRL I feel you!!!! I feel so s*** ty about my body and I just want to go super hard but I'm not allowed to. I still exercise but not the way I want to! But I'd rather do what's best for my baby than anything else. I'll have three months afterwards to get back! It's just hard for my self confidence for the time being!
NewMommy·
Rbcchall, I bet! I know a good bit of females in the Navy wouldn't even be able to pass the PT test to go :/. Which I shouldn't be talking right now because I'm already not where I was anymore ?. I'll get it back though eventually, I take pride in fitness. But anyway, I know some people down that way in NC so I may come visit sometimes!
deleted-user·
It's definitely a thrill! But it's also hard to get non-airborne assignments afterwards! And there are barely any girls so I have a total of one friend haha. It has its cons for sure.
deleted-user·
I'm prior active duty for the Army! Now, I'm an Army wife!
NewMommy·
Rbcchall, nice! I always wanted the chance to go to Airborne school. Maybe someday if I go back to the NSW community or do JCU.
