Hotel Transylvania
My friend is a teacher and she wants to know if it is a good movie to show her 7-8 years old kids. She hasn't watched it and she doesn't know if it is scary or not. If you've seen it, what do you think?
@sangria wow! A 5 year old watching hunger games? My husband's younger siblings wanted to borrow it from me after I bought it but the youngest were I think 11 at the time. I told them I would let my MIL watch it first and if she agreed then they could borrow it. I was afraid that even at that age some of the material might be too grown up. When I was 5 I mainly watched Disney movies ?
Wow pp how could hunger games be better for kids than a kids movie?
I'll try and ask my friend what she ended up showing.
Also a funny story about this. At first she wanted to show Hocus Pocus. She hadn't watched it in years. When watching it again yesterday afternoon she realized it was really inappropriate. You know with the hanging and zombie coming out of the earth and sexual jokes. That's why she went and rented Hotel Transylvania. But she was tight on time to watch it before today. But she told be she'd take time to watch it before showing it to her students.
It may not be about Halloween, but the monsters, vampires and zombies are so closely related to Halloween that we wouldn't want our daughter to watch it. If your friend decides to show it. I agree with the permission slip, that way you can try to accommodate those children if there is any.
I agree. The movie isn't really about Halloween at all. It's more so about Dracula's daughter meeting a human and falling in love with him rather than falling in love with another monster-type creature. The movie is really cute. My sons (ages 4 and 18 months) love both of those movies!
My 5 year old loves it... I'm sure 7 year olds wouldn't be scared.
We don't celebrate Halloween.... but let's face it, monsters are cool! It's just fantasy story telling.
