I broke my toe! ?

Whhhhyyyyyyy, it hurts so bad. I literally just tripped on my husbands tablet charger. I didn’t even fall to the ground. My baby is 3 weeks and now I’m limited until I can put more weight on it. So boot and crutches don’t go well with carrying a newborn around. I was just starting to feel good, I was going to start daily walks, I was about to go to the store to buy a baby wrap carrier so I can baby wear before I broke it. :( please heal fast my stupid toe. Ok rant over lol oh and I don’t want to take pain meds bc I don’t want my milk supply to decrease.

There’s a mesh version of the ergo. Can’t remember exactly what it’s called but we got one during their black Friday sale. We live in Texas so needed something light!

I live in San Diego and I love my ergo. I’m now using it again with this 3rd baby. I have s ring sling that I love as well but it’s not as supportive and I can’t wear it for as long. The ergo was much better when I had crutches because it was easy to put on and my son felt more secure.

Ok I think I’m convinced on the ergo, my friend just recommended it too. Now hopefully I can find a good used one or just splurge and buy one new ??. Does anyone know if they are breathable? It sure gets hot here in California

I had both a wrap and ergo when my first was born. The wrap was nice when he was little but by the time he was a few months old and around 15-20lbs i felt he needed more support so i half carried him in the wrap so i felt that was pointless to me, i wanted both hands. Just have the ergo this time around, though its more expensive I found it lasted longer, i had my son in it till he was 2 and a half and demanded he walk! LOL

Thank you, So I will work on my crutches skills so I will feel safe to carry her, I couldn’t get the hang of it the first day and yesterday I just didn’t even try. I will have to send my husband to get a carrier. Do you recommend the ergo? I was going to get a wrap since it’s cheaper but maybe I should invest in the ergo.

I’m so sorry! I broke my leg when my son was 6 weeks old and my daughter was 2. It was awful! Hang in there! Soak up a lot of cuddles all day and get caught up on your favorite shows. I used my ergo carrier with crutches when I had to get up and carry baby.

Thank you me too. I just want to bond with my baby, newborn and crutches don’t mix well.
