Nutella ban in Europe?
Is it true that Nutella is banned in Europe now because of cancer causing ingredients. But they can still sell it here in the states. My husband's Aunt told me this a week ago. Said she saw it on the news or something. I'm glad I never really ate it if it's true.

I think because EU takes a precautionary approach while the US has to have undeniable proof. I think I read that somewhere. Frankly, the EU has a better approach, IMO.

Palm oil is in a ton of stuff here. Too bad it can't be banned everywhere and then the quality of ingredients might get better

Omg that's crazy if it is. We was stationed in Germany from 2009-2012 and the local store we shopped at had Nutella in bulk. Im talking the huge bottles of Nutella in a case of 10. Plus all the different type of Nutella candy. I absolutely love the stuff.

There is actually a long list of banned products in the EU that are legal here in the states. In foods, household products, building supplies, ect. ?
China has a better chemicals policy than the US. It's been this way since the 1970's.

I read that the ingredient palm oil found in Nutella only caused cancer in rats when it was heated up. So if you don't heat up your Nutella you should be fine.
