I got my blood taken while I was on my period.

I don't have any experience with this but I hope you figure out what you need to. Definitely get a second opinion. You know your body. It's not normal to always bleed so I would not have been satisfied hearing that either, given your clockwork history.

At what point in your cycle did they check the progesterone? I know 7 days after ovulation they want it to be a 10 or higher. But if they checked around Ov or before it it could be significantly lower.

Yes had mine done last year. Probably August or September. It was normal can't have another one till that same time this year. Unless I'm paying out of pocket for it. Insurance only covers that test once a year

I've had a problem with bleeding between periods due to a cervical problem. Have they given you a pap smear?

Who knows. But I did not have this problem before I ever started birth control or when I went off it.

I don't think it's ovulation spotting. This month I spotted for 10 days before my period. Also I never had spotting before in my life. And my period has been coming every 2 weeks

Well I had a bunch of blood work done to check hormones. I see they checked progesterone. Its 0.3 whatever that means. I have no weight gain and i could sleep all day lol. She said going on the pill would not help stop the spotting once I went off it

I spot with ovulation. Could it be that that you are experiencing?

Other things to check would be your progesterone levels if you haven't already. This is the problem I had after coming off birth control. I would start spotting 2-3 days after ovulating and spot/lightly bleed all the way til my period and then have a super heavy period for like 5-6 days. When I did my 21 day progesterone it was HALF of what it should've been. I had to do progesterone supplements in order to have a regular cycle. I was ttc so I took clomid for a cycle to boost my ovulation and finally for a cycle I didn't have the spotting and my progesterone level was normal. Something to look into. Low progesterone can also cause weight gain, anxiety symptoms, insomnia so there's a lot tied into it. It can also be affected by your thyroid if you haven't had that tested. The thyroid is basically a hormone regulator for the body and that can DRASTICALLY mess with your system.

I also had a miscarriage before I started being treated with progesterone.

I have no idea if clomid "fixed" my cycle permanently though because I did get pregnant that cycle. Due date on Saturday:)

I just don't get why my doctor did not suggest I get this done. She just told me to live with the constant bleeding. Really?

I've not had spotting but I have had a sonohystogram. It's a little uncomfortable, but does give you a much better view of your uterine wall if you're looking for polyps. A regular ultrasound or even cat scan isn't very helpful as the uterus is usually collapsed down on itself inside.
