Thanks ladies! Your encouragement means a lot. Even if I do get pg this month, I would be 12 weeks during the cruise which is plenty of time to know if things will be healthy or not based on my history.

I'm so excited about the cruise! My dh and I have started a marriage ministry called One Flesh Revolution and are hoping to make some good contacts and network with the Family Life staff! Mommy love - I agree. I think you should go! I too plan month to month about "what if" then get bummed when it doesn't happen. So go, and enjoy yourself. And what a wonderful way to keep your mind busy. The cruise sounds amazing and u will be surrounded by prayer if you do become pregnant :)

Mommy love, the cruise sounds amazing! I totally get how you feel as I've had similar worries about committing to things in the future based on hopes of being pregnant. But I say you do it! We can't let our fertility issues consume our whole lives. And the reality is that there's so little they can do during the first tri (it's all watchful waiting), I just can't see that you'd be taking any added risk if you do fall pg in the meantime.

Ok so NOW I'm stressing bc we were given an amazing cruise vacation over Valentines Day. What if (dreaming) I do end up pregnant before then? If I'm high risk they may not let me travel. What if I start to mc? What if I'm super sick or tired and can't enjoy the cruise? We can't reschedule bc it's the Family Life: Love Like You Mean It marriage conference cruise!!! I'm so excited about going. I feel like infertility and lots of mc's has now robbed me of enjoying the excitement of ttc, pregnancy, and just enjoying life.

I know I complain a lot, and that you all don't know that I am not really a negative or complaining person. I just don't vent anywhere else. Even dh doesn't know most of my negative thoughts bc I try to protect him. I just need a place to get it all out there and have someone listen. So, thanks!

I understand how you feel. I'm taking a couple months off the meds and am a pretty worried about increased risk of mc if we do get a bfp. I just have to have faith that it will work out but thats so much harder than it sounds when you've been through multiple losses...

The hubs and I talked last night about going ahead and ttc on our own for a few months. It's so terrifying as we both agree that one more mc and we are done. But even with the fertility meds there is no guarantee that 1. We will get preg right away and 2. That we won't have another mc. It's all a gamble, which makes for some really tough decisions.

I'm spotting today so af should start tomorrow. We used birth control tho since I needed to be on my new thyroid meds for at least 6 weeks. My biggest fear in ttc naturally is having another mc. My biggest fear in waiting to use the fertility meds is what if it doesn't work or what if I still have another mc? After saving mine and dh's birthday money we have saved up half of what we need for one cycle. We should have enough after Christmas money comes in.

Sd- I'm so sorry. Looks like we are on the same cycle too. I tested today and its lighter than 2 days ago. Think I'm out. It's hard to do this through the holidays.

So mommy love- I understand why you don't want to try through these holidays. And next month we would find out rt before Christmas. And who wants bad news on Xmas. Feeling a little bummed today.

I don't know if I should ttc over the holidays or wait until the new year to do the monitored cycle with all the meds. So stressful!!

Steener - me too, I miscarried a year ago this week.

It's making me a little sad as I've had no bfps since then.

I'm in my tww and will be testing this weekend but I don't have a good feeling about it... I'm trying to stay confident that my dr will figure it out (he specializes in recurrent loss & autoimmune issues, both of which I have) but the doubts creep in.

I'm good today, despite today marking the year since our first miscarriage. I can't wait to find out if this IUI worked, few more days!

I highly recommend getting involve in a support group. It's so nice to have other women to talk to especially in person. This app is great but it's so powerful to be together in the same room.

I think that's great that you have a support group, it must be really helpful. Most of my loved ones know about our struggles so fortunately intrusive questions are rare. I am struggling though, with the fact that my last loss was a full year ago now. And despite fertility treatment, no BFP yet.

The topic at my support group last night was how to survive the holidays when dealing with infertility and baby loss. It was so great! I thought we could all share some ideas on how we will be protecting ourselves from visiting family and friends with pregnant bellies and babies everywhere and from insensitive well-meaning (or NOT so well-meaning) lived ones.

Hmm very interesting mommylove, I have always feared the docs being wrong on this one. I really confuse myself trying research this as its such a grey area for me as I don't know the name, I just find myself un needed stress as a result. ?..

I will be seeking more info on this one next week from my GP and then will have my new fert specialist re check it just to make sure. I will let you know how I go. ?

And announcements never are easy :( It's one of those things that you have to work out alone bc no matter how much love DH or family gives you, they don't completely understand. We r here if u need to vent. I have hard days every month Af arrives. Just gets old after a while

We were all robbed of our pregnancy joy. It sucks. I'm having a really down day. Stupid Facebook and the gazillion pregnancy (some now on their second and third babies) announcements in the last week. Plus I am pms-ing bad so I am super emotional.

Jolene yes do some research! My OB and first re had me on blood thinner injections for my last 2 pregnancies and he wanted to put me on a complete anti-coagulant with my next one. My new re (whom I trust and is so much more competent) showed me the lab papers where it clearly states that the kind I have does NOT affect mc and I should never have been on the blood thinners! So crazy how two professionals can be say two completely different things!

I know everything is wishy washy. And I feel like we were robbed the joy and excitement of finding out we are pregnant bc we aren't sure if it will hold or not. Really frustrating.

But the Lord knows what He is doing so we have to hold on to faith not fear :)

With my blood clotting disorder, I need to go back to my GP and get the name of it as they have never told me the name? They did say that my so called blood clotting disorder is the reason behind my recurring mc. However due to the lack of info they have provided me with so far how can I take this as fact? So yes my homework between now and my next fertility app is to demand as much info about the bcd as possible and report it to my fertility specialist because they were not provided with the Info... Silly docs?! I had been told to take the 100mg up until pregnancy and then throughout ..

I just want to know what the real problem is. As a teenager I feared that I would have fertility problems and here I am, 4 loses later and 27 years old.... And no way to prevent the inevitable, very f$cking frustrating. ?

Hi everyone ☺ I am in a similar situation. I have had 4 mc's, 2 recently. Drs havn't found any disorders or why this happens ? so heartbreaking. I am 31. No children yet ?

I'm terrified that if we ttc on our own without doing the cycle with the re then we will have another mc. I'm terrified of trying the letrozole cycle and it not working or ending in another mc. I just wish there was a specific problem with a solution. Everything is so wishy washy. I need something definite!

I take baby aspirin also, as I have anticardiolipin antibodies. I tried 3 letrozole cycles (2 timed intercourse, 1 IUI) and just moved onto injectables this cycle. Wishing you the best of luck!

We are not trying IUI until timed intercourse fails. The plan is to do a monitored timed intercourse cycle with letrozole, trigger, and progesterone. The re just want to enhance the natural process to make everything as healthy as possible since I have recurrent mc. That plan costs $600 per cycle plus the cost of meds. I guess it's so expensive bc of all the ultrasounds and appts they do.

I hope it all works out. Can you RE maybe just try you on Clomid only while you save up for the IUI?

Hi joelene! Do you know which clotting disorder you have? I have mthfr a1298c and take a baby aspirin. My homocysteine levels were normal so my re said it shouldn't cause clotting during pregnancy. I'm still waiting to hear results about factor v. I'm also still waiting on results to see if I have Cushing's syndrome.

DH and I have been TTC together for 5 years and have had 3 losses together and I one previously. Have had all the tests done and they had only found a blood clotting disorder and ordered to take 100mg aspirin daily and have been For 10 months or so. DH are getting all the tests redone with our fertility specialist, and the next on my list is the dye in my tubes to see if they are blocked. With Xmas so close I have decided to postpone all fertility appointments until the new year, being so busy with work and all ?

No. My husband is a pastor. Churches don't usually offer health insurance as a benefit. We are so thankful that our church started offering it. It helped so much and allowed us to have all the diagnostic testing done. I am thankful, it's just overwhelming thinking about the upcoming cost of ttc.

I know the heart break. I just want to be a mom.

It has been a really hard road. Time just keeps ticking away. I'm 31 and dh is 35. I have an adopted ds who is 4 1/2. It breaks my heart when he asks for a brother or sister or someone to play with.

Mommy love, just a heads up that sometimes insurance covers letrozole (without really meaning to) because it's primary use is breast cancer. So you may not end up paying for that one. I'm in the same pcos boat you are....Have had 2 mc's and 1 successful pg. Best of luck!

After an HSG, my previous re thought I had a septum. We had no insurance at the time so we had to wait and save for a year to have surgery. We had to try NOT to get preggo which was so hard. The day before the surgery I found out I was pregnant but then had a mc. So more waiting and NOT getting pregnant. Then we got insurance and had the surgery only to find out I DON'T have a septum after all. We got a new re who did all the tests in the world. I am now diagnosed with pcos and insulin resistance and my thyroid was not working properly. We had to again try NOT to get pregnant for at least one cycle to let the meds take effect. The re want to do letrozole, trigger shot, and progesterone with timed intercourse but it's expensive so now we have to wait until after January to have enough money for one cycle. If that doesn't work re wants to do IUI which is even more expensive. I'm not sure how many cycles we will be able to afford bc ins does not pay for any treatments. All I want is a healthy pregnancy and baby. It's so hard to wait and wait and wait.

Oh and I have no live births either :(

Me! I have had a couple miscarriages. After extensive testing, my HSG and SIS results revealed I have a small septum in my uterus. My RE recommended we try for a couple months, and if we do not get pregnant then she will do the surgery. So its all a waiting game. Surgery is supposed to be January. Right now I am currently in my tww. We did Clomid, Menopur, trigger shot, and IUI this cycle. I did not respond to Clomid, so we will see how it goes. I am currently taking Endometrin bc my uterine lining got so thin from the Clomid and with being a recurrent miscarriage patient made my RE a little more cautious.
