Ooo yay! This thread is back! My last comment in this was great but not nearly as big of a "secret" as I have now.

My mom got very drunk a few weeks ago and got really angry and in the middle of her yelling at me for being a single mom, she admitted to me that my older brother is not my dad's son. Which makes sense. He looks a lot different from my younger brother and I and my parent's time line never made sense to me.

Essentially my dad was a virgin when they met and they met 9 months before my brother was born. I assumed that my mom dragged my dad to bed immediately and got pregnant but since he was a virgin until 30, it just didn't seem to make sense he'd jump into bed with her since he was an attractive man back in the day and apparently he rejected a lot of women, so why wouldn't he reject my mom?

So I found this out and told my little brother and asked him what we should do with this information. We wont tell our brother. I've been trying to get my mom to tell him because I think he has a right to know who his dad is and he resembles her ex that she and my dad are still in contact with. I don't think she's ever going to tell him and the longer she waits, the more effed up it would be to tell him so I'm not sure what to do, honestly.

My mom's mom had sex with her fil and got pregnant. So technically my uncle is my mom's brother and uncle at the same time. ?

It's NEVER talked about. especially since they're from Alabama.. Lol

My uncle raped my cousin and inappropriately touched me when was 14. I think it happened to my cousin first, because me and her were talking one day and she ended up telling me. At this point I hadnt told anyone about what happened to me, so she was the first one to know. She ended up telling her dad, and her dad ended up beating his brother (my uncle). No one believed my cousin and she was basically shunned by everyone in my family besides her dad and I. But I never told anyone, because after what happened to her, there's no way I'd want them to know. The only other people that know is my SO and my mom.

? VERY interesting thread. I need a nap so I will check back later.

I don't have any juicy conspiracy theories or family secrets but I was always told I was adopted at 3 weeks old & found my adoption papers in my hope chest at my moms this past week & it said I was 3 months old. Big difference. Adoptions from that long ago are sealed & no identity is given. Ever. I think my mom may be hiding something. Like maybe she knows more about my biological family than she let's on.

My dads mom was asked to go on a double date with her friend and bf and his friend from college. After their date his friend offered to take my mawmaw home and raped her before he dropped her off. She ended up getting pregnant by the man and never saw him again. When she found out she was pregnant my dads dad told her he would marry her and claim the child as his own and the child would never know any different. So she married him and had my uncle and then her and my pawpaw had my other uncle and then my dad together. Nobody knew this until my mawmaw was really old and living in a nursing home. She called my dad one day and asked for a visit and so he came over and she told him the whole story. He told her she needed to tell his brother bc he deserves to know that he has a different dad. She told my uncle everything and he was very accepting of everything and understood. Not long after she confessed to all of this she passed away. What's crazy is my uncle is like 6ft 3inch (my dad and other uncle are like 5'5) and we always joked he was adopted bc he looked nothing like my pawpaw or his brothers. After we found out we were all like ???.

My husbands parents are cousins. I didn't know until two years ago. My husband never knew until I told him last year asking if he knew. His cousin told me. Then it made since why my husbands aunt and mum were so close. They all are from the same village.

My husbands grandfather tried to rape my sister-in-law as a child. He also sold my husbands father and uncles as slaves constantly. From the time they were five until they would run away and never return.

I found out through ancestry a lot of my pawpaws relatives died very young. One was a two year old that was shot. Others were babies that died, but I'm not sure how. Most of the babies were given the same name. I can't remember it now, but they just kept alternating the spelling. Made me sad seeing my pawpaw has relatives who died in such ways.

I also found out my dads family basically doesn't exist on ancestry. There's basically nothing written down. All I know is my grandpas family came from Wells and Newfoundland and my grandmas family is straight from Newfoundland for the most part. We cannot find anything on either of side of his family and have been searching desperately to find his family. We have no names or anything. ?

I don't think this is a major family secret but it's something I didn't know about until like a month ago.

My paternal grandparents are originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and my grandfather's family was involved in the mafia there. My grandfather's father had a hit on him from "bleeding" the slot machines. They discovered $2,500 "slugs" counterfeit slot machine coins in his car after he was slaughtered by several gunmen. I actually found several news article from his murder and it looks like it made national news and am going to be typing some up since it's so hard to read. Here's the link to the Chicago Tribune article:

My grandfather actually took my grandmother on dates in the car his father was murdered in. Bullet holes and all.

Nobody in my family even mentions him anymore he's like my phantom brother I haven't seen him since I was 11. It bother me sometimes I actually forget about him a lot which is super sad ?

My great great grandfather had an affair with another woman and my great great grandmother found out. She was planning to leave him and he instead had her committed to a mental health institution for being "crazy" to cover up the affair.

Ответить

My aunt beat her first husband to death with a rock. She turned his brains to mush and it was all over the news back in the day. She ended up getting out of it because of self defense.

All 3 of my aunts as well as my mother were molested by my grandfather and my grandmother knew about it. 2 of my aunts plus my mom were eventually diagnosed with schizophrenia in their adult years.

The same 2 aunts were in a Satanic cult in the 70's.

My paternal grandmother was a prostitute and that's how she conceived my dad. All of her previous pregnancies she either aborted illegally or gave up for adoption but she kept my dad because welfare was finally available.

I didn't know one of my aunts until after she died. Apparently she was adopted out to my great great uncle and he was very strict to the point where she was never allowed to go to the doctor or go outside or have any sort of social life (she was homeschooled). She died a virgin at the age of 52 from cervical cancer. After she died my dad inherited all her belongings and she would collect little plastic bottles and cut out pictures of my grandmother to slip into the bottles. The eyes were always crossed out. I found out later that it's a form of putting a spell on someone you hate. Apparently my aunt was very upset my grandmother gave her up for adoption.

Okay last one...my dad accidentally dated and had sex with his biological half sister. They remained friends after they broke up for years and they didn't find out they had the same dad until they did a DNA test a few years ago. People would always comment how much they looked alike and they found out that their parents were actually neighbors back in the day so they thought they'd get the test done just in case and sure enough. Yikes.

When i was an adult my mother admitted to me a family secret.

My grandfather had molested most of my uncles (his sons) and my aunt (mothers sister) my aunt had the worst. :( My mother told me that my grandfather was caught molesting my aunt when she was 6months old! :*(

He molested her all through out her infancy to 18th year. And she was also molested by her brothers too but coached by my grandfather! My grandma divorced him at some point of all of this. I don't know when.

One crazy thing is out of this is that both my mother and I suspect that my cousin Joe, (3 years older then me) may actually be fathered by my grandfather. Because my aunt was pregnant while 17yrs old. My aunt did have a boyfriend at that time and claimed he was the father of Joe. But he looks nothing like that man, he looks like my grandfather.

So we really do not know...but i guess its better left as a mystery because my aunt has been through enough. And i think it would destroy my cousin if that was true.

I asked my mother if he had molested her and she claims he hasn't, but i don't know if she's being honest with me about it. The reason why i feel this way is because, my mother is an alcoholic and has severe depression. She gets extremely defensive when it comes to family history it seems.

However i myself ended up being molested too, by my uncle (my mothers younger brother) i was ages 5-9 i told my mother about it when i was 9 because i learned from a school program to tell your parents or an adult you could trust about being touched inappropriately on your body. So i gained the courage to tell my mother. So he was never near me again after that. He passed away six years ago and i had no emotional feelings of his passing.

My grandmother's mom died from childbirth. Her dad blamed her for great-grandma's death and gave her away to family.

Rumor has it that my grandfather's mom was beat by his dad and died due to her injuries. The dad gave my grandpa to other family too.

I have a cousin who is a bit "slow" as the family calls him, and I learned a few years ago he wasn't born that way. Apparently when he was younger he couldn't breathe out of his nose when he ate and so he would have to breathe out of his mouth at the same time and it made a weird noise, well his dad hated it and would beat him every time.

Also my papaw ( mom's dad) was always a huge part of my life, that man was the sun and the moon to our family. He was an iron worker and one day when I was 12 he fell off the building and it killed him. Well after the funeral everyone was telling stories and I learned in two separate occasions he had a gun pulled on him, this man took the gun away, yelled at the people for being idiots, and then handed the gun back and just walked away ?. He also loved horse racing and would spend $10k easily, but he always came home with the same amount or more. My mom said that's how she knew if they were tight on money if he wasn't going to the track lol.

My cousin is a bit of an alcoholic and it's gotten her into some weird situations. She goes to the bars often and will ask our cousins to come along and they'll get drunk together. One night she was hanging out with our particularly creepy cousin (who has made passes at me) and he asked if he could touch her boobs. SHE LET HIM! ! Another night she was sleeping in her room and he was asleep in a cot next to her bed and when he thought she was sleeping, he copped a feel and she didn't say anything or make an effort to stop him. She went out another night with a different cousin (his brother) and he later asked her if he could touch her vagina because he's never touched one. She said no.

Honestly, I have more stories from this side of the family. They're all homeschooled and very close in age. They grew up being each other's only companions because they lived in the middle of nowhere and it's had a bad effect on a lot of them.

When my dad passed away 2 years ago, there was a man at his funeral that I never seen before in my life, claiming he was my dads brother.. I started asking questions and come to find out he is my uncle, they call him Buzzy..And he has Down syndrome..back story- when my dad and his siblings were little, my grandfather (their dad) apparently hated the fact that buzzy was "retarded" (Thats what everyone said he'd call buzzy) and pushed him down a flight of stairs one day when he was like 4..all the kids were put in foster care...well eventually my grandmother gets the kids out all of them except buzzy..she left him in foster care all of his life bc she was embarrassed of him. Me growing up I never even knew he existed until 2 years ago. My dad never talked about him, nor did my 2 aunts. Everyone tried to act like he didn't exist. I felt so sorry for this man, he's always welcome in my home and sees us often.

Another one of mine is that my cousins used to both do meth. The brother gave his sister some one night and told her not to shoot it, because it was "bad meth". She shot it up anyway and it caused her to convulse. Her brother walked in on her unconscious and called my grandfather, and eventually 911. My poor girl cousin died due to brain aneurysms. Her brother never saw a day in jail for that, because my stupid grandfather has ties with law enforcement where it happened.

My mom's bio dad passed away when she was 9 or 10 and years later her mom died and it came out of the wood works that her two siblings (one older and one younger) were a result of an affair. 5 years ago she had a man get a hold of her, turned out my grandpa also had an affair and the man was his son. His mom had moved down to Florida (we are in Wisconsin) before she found out she was pregnant and my grandpa wanted to nothing to do with her or the child. And just last year she had a man get a hold of, yet another child as result of an affair on my grandpa's end. He had a letter written from my grandma that stated she refused to acknowledge that he was my grandpa's son so that he couldn't get any of his death benefits... just some really f*** ed up 60's hippy s***

Lol I have a lot of stories about my mom. We don't talk right now because she physically attacked my SO and tried to pepper spray him for defending my brother from her. My brother and my SO were enjoying a donut while my mom starting ranting about how donuts can kill you and getting mad at my brother for eating one. My SO spoke up and said "take it away from him then or stop talking about it." she all of a sudden started wagging his finger at him getting in his face. Shes like "I'm leaving then." "Leave then. " my SO answered. She got up and stormed out. Ok. Then she ran back in and tried to change her mind. "No you need to leave." SO says. Then she tries to tell me he's forcing her to leave. I'm like "no mom, you said you were leaving first."

Then she freaked and got in my SO's face, scratching him, and yelling. He's like "get out my house!" she tried to fight and grab my pepper spray I had hanging by the door. My brother was pulling her and begging her to just leave. My SO was trying to push her out.

It was scary. Finally they got her out of the house and she tried to come back in, I stood in her way and told her to just leave. Then I went inside and locked the door. I swear her eyes were black. She left all her stuff and tried to charge SO with assault but when the police heard the story and saw my SO had injuries and she didn't nothing was done about it.

As you may guess I have never been diagnosed with Autism.

I was really annoyed. Even if I did have Autism I still would be offended.

My family is Irish. Irish families don't have secrets. We have whiskey. And whiskey can't keep a secret. ?

Tons of crazy stories though.

My Aunt was murdered when I was 5 by a psychopath who was released from jail two days earlier. She went missing for months. They ended up finding a bone from her nasal cavity; that was all that remained after he chopped her body up into pieces. She was the first person to ever be identified through the nasal cavity and there were several forensic shows, news stories, and articles about her. They were able to find her killer guilty by the teeth marks she left on his neck... that's always been my favorite detail; we know she went down with a fight.

A few year ago, she got black out drunk. I was in my room about to go to bed when I heard my door open. My mom walked in, butt a$$ naked and tried getting into my bed and kept saying "bathroom, I need to go to the toilet." I freaked out thinking she was about to piss in my bed and pushed her out and said "this is not the bathroom!!" She eventually left, thankfully, without peeing in my bed.
