@dis, the driver remained at the scene when it happened. He is a 20 year old male. He passed all the sobriety checks but to miss 2 people pushing a stroller something seems off. Maybe he just wasn't paying attention, or driving too fast. The details of that have not come out yet, and there is no word on whether he will face charges or not. Either way, he will have to live the rest of his life knowing that a poor baby has passed away. My heart aches for them all. ?

They decided to take the baby girl off of life support today. She was 12 days old and taken off support at the same time she was born. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain this family is feeling. Tonight I'll be holding my children close and thanking God that they are safe and healthy.

No further news yet. Both parents are at the hospital with their baby now. It doesn't seem as if the baby girl has improved any, but no news of getting worse either. I pray for a full recovery for the precious baby

Wow. Prayers sent their way. That poor innocent baby ? I couldn't help but cry when I read the update. Situations like this make me angry at the world.

I'm praying for that baby and his/her parents. No matter what age they are, they are still parents who are in a situation that no new parent wants to be in! Negativity doesn't change the fact that they had a baby at the ages that they are so that focus shouldn't be an issue in the current situation. My heart is breaking for them and I can't even imagine what they are going through.

Some more details were released, and everyone is only focusing on the negative. It makes my stomach turn when such an innocent child is in such bad shape.

The father and mother were walking with their one week old infant. The father is 18 and the mother is 14. People are only focusing on their ages, and not the fact that a tragedy has happened. I don't know the people personally, but we have many mutual acquaintances and friends and everyone says they are well behaved kids just trying to make it. Not sure why they had their baby out at such a young age. I know the road that they were on, and people go way too fast for it. The driver was reportedly sober but I have no doubt he was speeding.

The mother has been treated and released. The father needed a plate and screws in one of his legs, and staples for a head wound. The baby is in critical condition, suffering from brain bleeds and seizures. Ladies, right now all I see is a family in shambles and cannot imagine myself in their place. They are being bombarded with such negativity about their ages it makes me truly sad about the state if humankind. I see nothing but parents who may lose their child and I am praying so hard for them. I hope you ladies join me in that.
