Breast Feeding Or Not To?
So My Breast Have Increased In Size A Lot! I Was A Size A36 And I Believe I Am Now A C Cup. I Am In Shock On How Much They Actually Grew! So I Am Now Thinking I Should Breast Feed When Baby's Here Since I Now Have Actual Breast And Their Pretty Much Their For Nothing If I Don't Put Them To Use! I Want To But Then I Hear How Bad It Hurts And I Change My Mind! So Those Who Have Breast Fed What Are Your Opinions On It?
Take a breastfeeding class. You'll get all the information you need and they even tell you where to go for support when you feel like giving up. It's so rare to find a woman that actually can't breastfeed. It's what we're meant to do, it just takes perseverance and commitment. There are lactation consultants, public health nurses and breastfeeding groups.... So many ways to get support and advice when it gets hard. You can even pump exclusively and bottle feed your breast milk if latching or pain is an issue for you. It's not ideal but it's still better and cheaper than formula.
It Wasn't Just The Pain That Gave Me The Yes No Feeling My Sister Tried To Brest Feed And Baby Wasn't Latching On At All They Tried Multiple Times Before She Decided It Wasn't Gonna Work For Her And Stopped The Trying To Breast Feed... I Wanna Try It Because As Y'all Said It Is Best For Baby I'm Just Not So Much Fully Educated About It.
I have never breast fed with any of my other three and now have my new little one in nicu and had a very small cup size and decided to breastfeed her since she is a premie. It has gone very well in is not very painful at all but everyone is different. I was terrified because my sister had such a hard time. But I knew it was best for a premie and it's not bad at all. Good luck. Make what choice is best for you and don't let anyone tell you different.
I love everyone's responses to this!! I am a huge advocate for breastfeeding! Yes, it's everyone's personal decision and we can't judge someone for choosing not to breastfeed. But these are FACTS here. They are true, lifelong benefits that you will NEVER get from formula. People say formula is so much easier, but I don't think those people have ever had the benefit of waking up in the middle of the night and just lifting your shirt! Lol to me, nothing compares to the health benefits, the bonding, and the convenience of breastfeeding. Like the other ladies said, you just need support to get you through the beginning. If you decide to try, make it your goal to not give up! Do research, get help, be strong! I promise, you will be happy you did!
It only really hurts if they latch wrong. I didn't breastfeed my first two and I really regret it. My first had and still has digestion issues and my second child had colic really bad. Two things that could've been prevented if I cared more about breastfeeding them then my own comfort level. This one I'm definitely going to breastfeed although it may hurt at times. If it gets too painful I'll pump and bottle feed that way, but he's going to get my good stuff versus some powder you mix with water.
If it hurts, you're doing it wrong. Hook up with a lactation consultant so you can get help with it whenever you need to. It's so much healthier for you and for your baby if you can stick to breast feeding. It lowers your risk of cancer, helps you lose weight faster, lowers your child's risk of diabetes and obesity, boosts their immune system and its a great bonding experience for both of you. Take a breastfeeding class too if you're still not sure. It was $20 at my local hospital and so worth it.
You can always give it a go :) it does hurt if baby is not latched correctly, I'd advise drying your nipples after every feed & apply some nipple cream, if they hurt then you can use some nipple Sheilds until they are better!! It's worth the initial pain & it doesn't hurt for all the time you breast feed :)
With my first born i wish i could of continued to breastfeed for more than just two weeks. I wasn't educated or guided in the whole process of breastfeeding so i ended up switching to formula. Now 6 yrs later I'm having another one and have really done my research on the subject. It's very beneficial for the baby helps build up their immune system & even helps us mom's too, plus it's a bonding experience & not to mention inexpensive to almost $30 formulas.
From my short experience i can say it was painful because he wasn't latching correctly..a few bumps along the way but like i said i wasn't really educated on the subject & didn't take the time to prepare myself or anything. Now i feel more confident with attempting breastfeeding and staying persistent i've done my research and feel good about it. Pain factor shouldn't matter just give it a try it's the best option recommended for both baby & you & hey if it doesn't work out that's fine too just as long as you gave it try to see if its something doable for both of you. GL
Most women's cup size goes up by 2-3. Breastfeeding is the best thing for your baby so to not do it because you will be sore for the first couple months seems extremely selfish to me and wouldn't be a deciding factor whether to give my baby the best start possible. It should be about what's best for the child not what's going to be easy and more convenient or comfortable
Hey girlies! I plan on breast feeding my LO as much as I can. I also plan to formula feed when needed. Have any of you moms tried organic formulas? How was it? Experience?

Because I have to be on mental health medication after birth I am unable to breastfeed😔 what are some good formulas for babies? I know breast is best but I can’t be on the medication I need and breast feed.
My kids can not latch to me so I pumped. With my first I got so stressed because everyone was pushing it in me. My milk dried in about three weeks. With my second she tired very hard to latch but no luck. I pumped for over a month. My milk dried again since my family was stressing me about giving my milk to my preemie nephew. If you can then do it. If it doesnt work out then it's ok also. Both of my kids are very health and had formula. I wish I could breast feed the whole time but I just couldn't. With this baby I am going to try again for as long as I can. Don't let other people's hard time change your mind!!
