I think these seats are great! Problem is like pp said is people are leaving their kids unattended & on elevated surfaces. My son used this seat & when he was a little constipated I would put him in it & within minutes he would have a bm. We also used this to feed him before we switched to his highchair. You can get a table to attach to it & we never had any issues of him even almost falling out.

From what my friend and cousin (who both have babies right now) said, its mainly because some people werent following instructions and leaving a mobile baby sitting in the seat on top of a table or chair, while they did something else. I always watched my dd1 when she was in it. It was pretty useless after a week or two anyway. Dd2 won't have one only bc I feel like it was a waste....

I've heard that they're not great for kids but I have one too. I haven't used it yet and now I'll probably wait. It sucks that the site is down right now. If you can write down and use the first link I posted it has a phone number you can call to order the kit.

I tried to get to the form & the sites down...must be busy!! And he just sat in his seat for the first time yesterday!!

I work in an office where they do occupational and physical therapy for kids and both have told me those bumbo seats r not good for kids anyway!!!

If any of you cant go to the link above try going to www.recall.bumbousa.com. Fill out the form and they will send you a kit to install a restraint belt. Babies have been falling out of the seats and fracturing their skulls.
