Anyone Else? Is anyone else nervous bringing the new baby home? My son will be almost 18 months if not already 18 months…

This is my 5th and Everytime I brought a new baby home, I had one under 2 as well. I was so worried about this too when I was pregnant with my second. And to my surprise, my almost 19 month old waltzed into the hospital room and said "baby." He looked right at his new sister and ignored me. They are closest in age and also best friends. My next son was a Mama's boy but still had a smooth transition. My current baby (will be almost 2) is also kind of a Mama's boy but I have no doubt he'll transition fine as well!

I’ll have 2 under 2 for about a month. They will be 1 year and 23 months apart. I’m excited to see how my son will react to his little sister. Kinda nervous on how the sleeping arrangements will go because my son loves to sleep under me. Not sure if it’s the pregnancy because he was a daddy’s boy before pregnancy lol.

My son turns two next week and he absolutely hates babies so I'm pretty nervous. I've kind of just accepted the fact that it will be hell for the first few weeks but I also realize that he'll eventually warm up to the baby.

Yeah I'm nervous thinking it's gonna be crazy the first 2 wks as well. Luckily my mom will be staying for a week with us to help with the transition, but going home at night when my SO gets home from work. My biggest fear is at night time if they both wake up at the same time idk what I will do lol My SO will get up and help but when I was in the hospital with our son he didn't even wake up to him crying and yelling at him to get up didn't even wake him lol. Im also nervous having 2 in our room, my son won't sleep in his crib ?

Maybe you could try sleep training him. We just started training our 1 year old to not get up at 4 in the morning to join us in bed and then get up for the day before 6. Sometimes it only takes a few days of training and sometimes longer.

When I brought #4 home, #3 was only 16 months old. The first month was rough while she adjusted to the new baby, especially since she really wasn't talking yet. So she would just cry and scream, which kept the baby awake. But it all smoothed out after that first month. Now, the youngest will be 18 months when this baby comes, and we'll have three under three for about a month and a half. Surprisingly, I'm not nervous this time. I figure we'll get in a rhythm soon enough. The only thing I worry about is the youngest is such a mama's girl, she sleeps right beside me, so idk how I'll deal with that and nursing a new baby.

Oh yeah I am super nervous when we bring baby girl home my oldest will still be 2 and my 1 year old will still be 1

Our rambunctious, mama's girl is two. She said that she just wants to hold the baby and walk around with her ?thankfully she's very good at talking so that helps. Until it doesnt....
