Anyone have tips on how to keep early labour going??

PS- no woman properly educated in pregnancy and infant development would advise you how to put yourself into active labor

I was 4.5 cm with my first for 3 weeks. Dilation doesn’t mean anything at that point. Neither does early labor. Them saying they won’t stop it doesn’t mean you should try to progress it and it’s ok to go into labor. Having previous babies at 38 weeks means nothing. If you needed to move things along - your doctor would do it.

I know how frustrating and upsetting it can get to know that labor isn’t progressing along... I’m 37.4 weeks and I have been dilated 2cm since a week now... I have been having some contractions and this is my first baby so I’m going crazy just to have him out just so that I can see him... I even started crying cuz of the pain and labor still not progressing... lol I even asked the doctors at the hospital if they could do anything to help me move things along... since they said my baby is full term and I’m completely ready... could go into active labor anytime! They just told that it is not recommended and could have risk factors! Honestly, after everything I realized the baby will only come when it’s the right time for labor... I know u r upset but just let it go tbh and just let our body do what’s best for both ourselves and our baby... dw I still know that’s pretty frustrating but it’s not in our hands! I just do the same things that my doctor recommended... lots of walking! I try to keep myself busy and distracted just so that I don’t have to think about the labor not progressing!! I’m just waiting now... to see my beautiful little baby whenever he decides to come out that is! 😁😩🤱🏻 GOOD LUCK! 🤗🤞🏼

I would definitely be listening to @beakymcspence if you are going to post such a question. If her answers don't match what you wanna hear, then call your doctor and ask the same question.

And tbh if it was a problem that I would give birth now they would try and stop it not send me home and say see ya later.

I had a 36 weeker last month who wasn’t breathing on their own. You should cherish everyday your babes inside and make the best as crummy as you feel ❤️

If it was necessary to move things along your care provider would be doing it hun. There’s absolutely no reason to move this along at 36 weeks unless medically necessary.

I was in “early labor” for WEEKS with one of my kids... relax.

Bouncing on a Yoga ball seems to work for some.

Keyword *early* Why are you wanting to go into labor at 36 weeks? Just be patient you’re almost there. A pregnancy can last 40 weeks or longer.
