Does anyone else's EBF baby go days without pooping? My son is ten weeks and ever since his vaccines last week his pooping has been off. He pooped Christmas eve night after not pooping for 3 days and since that night he hasn't pooped again it's going on day 5 and he seems uncomfortable. I do massages and bicycle legs, he also takes gas drops. I'm a FTM and worry a lot. My friend told me one of her friends babys died at 3 months from not pooping in 5 days and now I'm freaking out!

When my baby doesn't poop for even one day he's grunting yelling and straining. So I do whatever it takes to help him poop. I do bicycle movements on his legs.. Also insert the tip of a Qtip w coconut oil & that makes him poop right away. Or sometimes it's as simple as stimulating his butthole and bending his legs.

That's scary! Mine was going at least 20 times a day and then she dropped down to going once a day and then she will go 4 or 5 days without going and go a few times the next day. Her pediatrician says it's pretty normal for a breastfed baby.

My son would cry and be extremely fussy if he didn't poop for a day or two so my pesintold me to give him one teaspoon of prune juice. I ebf as well

I ment my son is 10 weeks old not 2 weeks lol stupid typo anyways my son finally pooped this morning Yay! Lol I normally do anything to help him go but for some reason nothing was working for me

I find my now 6 week old poops less during growth spurts.

He could be going through a growth spurt. My doc told me they can go up to 10 days without pooping since their body is absorbing everything. But give your doc a call just to be sure

Thank you guys! I gave his pediatrician a call and she said it is normal for breastfeed babies but if it happens again I can go in to get him checked to ease my mind
