No but sometimes my son will suck on the bottle to fall asleep and spit the milk out. I try to stick one in then without him noticing the difference. If it works it's for a minute or 2 till he drifts off then is gone. I wouldn't force it though just make the switch and see if he notices. Generally he doesn't like the soother
Definitely not
I would just because with dd even though she took one, I was always worried about SIDS and a pacifier helps with that
Nope, wouldn't wanna have to break that habit later on if I didn't have to.
No and I was thankful he didn't want one because it was less to try to break him from BUT he was so attached to the bottle. He took one of those for WAY too long unfortunately (shame on me.)
That's a bad habit to try to create if the baby doesn't want it and it's not actually soothing anything so no
Nah
I introduced several different pacifiers. When he finally took one, I was overjoyed. It helped a ton with his reflux, swallowing his saliva. It helped so much with naptime, too.
My daughter took one for the first couple months and then just refused it. I never pushed her to take it and just got rid of them after she kept refusing
I mean newborns have a hard time with them but I kept trying because she would sleep better with one in, she just didn't know how to keep it in.
DS never wanted one, but sometimes when he's extra cranky he'll take one (he's 6.5 months)
My LO wanted her thumb over a paci but even that stopped. She only uses one at the babysitter and she's usually playing with it lol.
It will help in the long run to not be attached to a pacifier. I don't know how we are going to wean my DD off of hers.
No. My first son only took them ever so often but I had time to let my boobies be his pacifier so maybe thats why. For this baby, I can't imagine having that much time so we will see how it goes!
My DD didn't like them, only tried one type though then just gave up. She preferred her hands.
I wouldn't force it if they just aren't a sucky baby.
My kiddo never wanted one and I was completely fine with that. One less thing to take away! The bottle was hard enough.
Nope. My first two kids would always spit them out, so I stopped offering them and they were perfectly content without one. I didn't even offer one at all with my daughter and she's only 8 weeks old.
I know a few kids over age 2 who still use one. My cousin's kid is 3 and still uses one. I'm glad I won't have to struggle to take a pacifier away down the road. It seems like a hassle to take away.
No. If they're ok without it, you'll be saving yourself trouble of weaning them off of it later down the road.
Holding in her on pacifier
Do you ladies know if they sell pacifiers with honey?
Any tips on getting baby off pacifier for good?
I don't want my baby sucking on a pacifier! Any ways around that?🤔🤔
WHY DOES IT SEEM LIKE MY BABY IS TRYING TO USE MY BOOBS AS A PACIFIER TO...HE EATS WHEN HE IS HUNGRY BUT ITS STARTING TO SEEM LIKE HE WILL GO TO SLEEP ON MY BOOB AND NOT TAKE HIS PACIFIER..HE DOESNT LIKE THE PACIFIER FROM THE HOSPITAL. MAYBE I SHOULD BUY HIM A PACIFIER THATS FOR BREASTFED BABIES..HES GONNA HAVE TO GET ONE FOR WHEN HE IS AT DAYCARE BECAUSE I WONT BE NEAR FOR ATLEAST 5-6 HOURS 😣😣

I guess I'm rude. ??
When my son was a newborn, he didn't naturally take to pacifiers but I continued to offer until he did. I found it to be a lifesaver.
