I can tell you that the company that makes the cookies always has too many! My friend works at a firehouse near the plant and they're constantly dropping off extra boxes of cookies. I get my fair share of cookies year round. I say keep them or donate them. I wouldn't worry too much!

Let them know what happened, and ask if they want you to send the extras back or have someone pick them up. In my experience, ill-gotten goods bring nothing but bad times. I would want to right the situation for fear of eternal indigestion, or some other karmic punishment! At least make an effort to pay for what you've received.
