nap time help
My almost 3 month old is a fantastic night time sleeper. Nap time however, is a completely different story. We do eat play sleep. She usually wakes up around 8, so she eats, we play for a little bit, and then she goes down for a nap around 9/9:30. She sleeps for about 45 minutes and then she's up. I go back in and get her back to sleep, but as soon as I lay her down she wakes up.

Does she only take that one nap a day?

She's giving all the tired signs though, and the times we've let her stay up she gets really distressed and it's almost impossible to console her

I'm going through the same thing with DS right now. He's 4 months. He sleeps through the night in his crib, every night. He'll take a 30-45 minute nap in the morning in his swing, but as for the rest of the day he won't nap at all unless he's napping on me. Granted if he naps on me he'll nap for 1.5-2 hours. I repeatedly try to lay him in his crib when he falls asleep but it doesn't last more than 15-20 minutes and I know he's tired. I'm struggling because he needs to nap, but with other kids I can't be tied to the couch for 2 hours every afternoon for him to nap.

What I found fascinating was that literally what a baby did today will change tomorrow.
I agree with Stormy, she may not need to be put back to sleep right away.

She naps 3 or 4 times a day, we're working on giving up the 4th nap, but since she doesn't nap well she needs it
