There's a difference between commenting your vaccine opinion on a post about the controversy or even them just talking about their own opinion, and giving your opinion on a mom proud of her child. The comment was unwarranted and rude.

I think she was just trying to help. I have a different opinion than most on controversial topics, but sometimes i need to tell the person that there is another way. I am not judging if they don't choose my way, i feel obligated to share with them and maybe prevent something horrible happening.

She clearly said she's not trying to start a debate yet here people are saying vaccines work, vaccines don't. This woman simply gave her opinion and it doesn't seem rude at all. If it was any other topic she would come off as a "concerned loving friend" but people start acting all crazy when it comes to vaccines.

@Mizz there's a significant difference between pointing out a very dangerous car seat situation and harassing a mother about vaccinating her child. Badly buckled kids in car seats is always deathly dangerous and super risky. Vaccines protect against deadly diseases and have minimal to no side effects for most children.

Just because OP posted about her shots doesnt mean they had to go on a rampage about how bad they are and how shes "poisoning her child". Eye roll.

Happens all the time here... I don't know how many times a cute picture or basic post got turned into a debate over car seats, after market accessories, crib bumpers, spots on the op's mirror, earrings etc. due to someone's unsolicited advice. At least she was nicer about it than some other people are.

Do you know this person OP or is it someone random??? Either way I understand why you wouldn't want that on your posts. If she would've commented that on a young, scared FTM's post, it could actually persuade her to not get her child vaccinated. Which, let's face it, can also cause problems down the road.

I'd be irritated too. She's assumed op doesn't know anything and saying 'don't get anymore shots until you've done your research' is quite rude.

@Planet You have the option to have it private or not. But with hashtags you can find any posts that include that specific hashtag and read it and comment if public.

And this is why hashtags are dumb.

Honestly, everyone will have their opinions and preferences. But pushing someone to do something their way is wrong. At the end of the day, I'll still take advantage of the option to vaccinate my children. What other people do with their own is none of my business nor do I care.

It's not necessary to give opinions on everything you come across, especially in this case where this person doesn't even know me.

Yes agree. People might say "well you put your business out there, so expect opinions" but in reality no one asked for an opinion, you just shared her check up and its really hard for some people to not say anything and keep on scrolling lol
