Lo is 3 1/2 months old. We do tummy time everyday, and he doesn't spend an excessive amount of time on his back (other than normal stuff sleeping, in his car seat while we run errands, or when he's in his swing so I can take a quick shower). Please tell me the hair will grow in. Ftm problems

My son's hair fell out at 3 months and started exactly like that.

Happened to my DD shes 8 months now hers is almost grown back in. She didn't spend a lot of time on her back either but when she fought sleep she rubbed her head back and forth I think that's why hers did it.

Normal! Ds is 6 months now and his hair is thicker so you can't really see it anymore.

Dd is 7 months old and still has a bald spot. Plus she sleeps on her tummy 90% of the time. Don't worry it'll grown back

Yep, it's normal to happen round about 3/4 months and will grow back.

My second daughter had a line all the way around her head of baldness where she rubbed her head when she moved it, it was funny but looked strange because her hair was so dark. It grew back pretty quickly though once she was sitting up.

Thanks girls, I guess I'm just worried out it being flat. When SD was little bm would just leave her in the crib or swing all day. Dh had 50/50 custody from day one. SD would scream bloody murder during tummy time with her daddy and I. We would spend his custody days trying to keep her on track and encourage proper head development. Unfortunately she suffered a few developmental setbacks, she didn't roll over for several months and didn't walk until well past her first birthday due to the damage bm caused. Now sd is 4 and thankfully everything has worked out developmentally. She's right on track.

My daughter developed a bald spot in the same place at around 3 months old.
She's 7.5 months now and the hair has started growing back in, it's now getting harder to see the patch.
