I was lucky when my little one was born. The first 6 weeks was the easiest. He would take 2 to 3 hour naps in the day so I could nap when he napped.
That saying was a joke to me, too.
I ate when baby slept.
I cleaned when baby slept.
I cried when baby slept.
I took care of the dogs while baby slept.
And sometimes I'd sleep when baby slept.
That's how I feel too. My daughter is 17 months and I'm pregnant. All I can think about is how I will never sleep again in my life. It's traumatizing.
I feel your pain, dd is two weeks old and it's like she knows when I close my eyes. I can't do anything but watch her sleep.
If your nursing eat a lot of protein with dinner and have a snack with a lot of protein about 30 minutes before last feeding and it will help baby sleep through the night earlier. I did it with my first and second and by the time they were a month old they were sleeping from 8pm to 6 am. However, I did still wake up to check up on them every three hours or so but was able to fall asleep more quickly knowing that they were fine.
Good luck. I gave the same advice to a mom with a 2 month old and she was sleeping through the night with in 2 to 3 weeks. This is my fourth pregnancy.
You'll sleep again. Keep resting when the baby is sleeping. The more time goes on the longer he will sleep and the easier it'll be for you to sleep when he does.
I can sleep when baby sleeps IF I have Netflix running in the background - The Muskateers has been my go to sleep show lately but even just laying down helps. It's really hard to turn off your brain and give yourself permission to rest when a million things have to be done but you need to recoup too. Healthy momma means healthy baby means healthy household.
You will, eventually. I don't sleep when my baby sleeps either until I know she will be sleeping for a bit. She has her days and nights backwards so I don't even bother. Got 6 hours tops last night and that was only because I gave up putting her in the crib and layed her in bed next to me.
Dd didn't sleep for more than 40 minutes at a time during the day until she was over 6 months old. On her own, that is. She would sleep happy as can be in bed next to me. I didn't trust myself to bedshare at night, but I definitely took naps that way when I needed it most.
You will never sleep good again. You will constantly check on your babies, worry about them when they are old enough to be out and freak out when your adult children don't call. My grandmother told me this and I believe every word lol
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤
I see so many mommies giving their babies rice cereal to sleep even though it's not recommended? Why?
I think this will be my LAST baby. My boyfriend is up there in age 🤷🏽 ♀
I'm such a sucker for these!! Unfortunately I'm rocking the baby to sleep and I have no clue what color my underwear is. I'll have to get back to ya'll!!

Maybe once there 25 with a stable job, house and there own bail money..... Lol jk but really it could be weeks, months or even a couple of years. My first slept from 8 to 7 from seven weeks. Now My six month old just slept threw the night for about the third time in said six months. It's brutal and some days I feel like a walking zombie. Plus up till a few days ago my youngest would only take 25 to 45 min naps. So for me it was almost always pointless to try and sleep because it's like a tease. So instead I clean, work out or waste it on here lol. Hang in there you will sleep again or like me get get use to it after so long.My dd slept till 7:30 today but im so use to getting up at 4 or 5. I was stuck awake and could not fall back asleep and believe me I tried. Sorry that was super long but hopefully he will take long naps and you can try to catch up.
