A standard king is 4 inches wider than a California king, but a California king is 5 inches longer than a standard king.

A California would benefit you.

We have a queen and we are not big people. I'm 5'4, SO is 5'9. When we're all in bed together with Elliette, why am I on the edge? Lol there's no reason! So I'm my mind, we need a new bed.

I'm only 5'4 and my SO is 5'10.... We would ALWAYS sleep ontop of each other and get so hot from being close to each other. We got a king size when I was 12 weeks pregnant and I am so thankful we did that!!!! I can't imagine being (now) 40 weeks pregnant and sharing a queen size he still ends up on my side of the bed sometimes haha!

My husband is 6.1 and I am 5.6.

We have a super king (live in the UK). It's the best thing ever! Plus our little girl can snuggle between us, no trouble at all.

Get a super king (or whatever the equivalent in the USA is).

I love my king size bed! I'm 5'3 and dh is 5'7 and I still felt like I needed one! Some people like to cuddle with their spouse but I like to not even know someone else is in bed with me!

I have a king size and me and DF are big people and my 1 year old lays in the middle and we still have plenty of room! I'll never go back to a queen size!!!

We have a standard king and love it. We had a queen bed and it just didn't seem big enough.we are.kinda on the smaller side( so is 6ft about 160lbs and I'm 5'2 and 100lbs) but it gives us and are great pyrenees plenty of room

I'm jealous of your queen size bed lol. I'm 24 weeks, 5'6" and hubby is 6'2" and we have a full size bed. We are getting a queen in a few months though lol.

Cal king is longer but not as wide as a regular king, I'd definitely get a regular king! Id rather have my feet hang over the edge than my butt! Lol

To add...both my husband and I are tall with big muscular bodies....I much prefer our standard king because of the width. Our next step up would be a custom mattress and bed...

Omg, same here. I'm 5'6" and 180 and my SO is 5'10" and 290. Along with a big baby who likes to take up the whole bed! I need a king sized. Get a king sized!
