Today I had a scan to check my uterus. I'm 35w2d. Back story: when I had my csection with ds3, the surgeon informed me that I had a uterine window. She could see his hair before she cut through my uterus. So my doctor this time wanted me to get checked just in case its happening again this time. Well, it is. I was scheduled for feb 9th but now I will have her at 38w1d feb 2nd! Now I'm even more nervous. To top it off..we still dont have a name for her ?.

Sorry to bother but do you happen to know what causes a window uterus? Is it after repeat csections or can it just happen anytime. And how do they check for it?

@sfraire you arent bothering me! ? I was told that it happens after repeat csections. The muscles in your stomach separate and as the pregnancy goes on, it gets thin near the incision site. It doesnt happen to everyone. They checked me via vaginal ultrasound today. The layer of tissue was very thin. So they are having me come in for stress tests for the next 3 weeks because any sign of contractions can cause the uterine window to split open.

So funny my Csection was on 9th and during that time my dr spoke to us that my urtine wall is very thin. And even can see the baby’s hair thru it! Wow it’s amazing how it is. Ekkk so they highly recommended me tube tie n have no more kids since next pregnancy could be very high risk for me. It’s my #4 now. Scary to think of that it could break during pregnancy or they could accidentally cut baby thru the wall! So sadly it’s my last baby :(
