Painful letdowns

4 months pp and the past day and a half my let downs have been very painful. I find myself gritting my teeth for the first one since it is seriously excruciating. The other two are painful but not nearly as bad. It's also worth noting I exclusively pump so I've tried turning the suction up and down to see if that would help and it doesn't make a difference. I don't have any clogs and I'm getting the same output I always get. This never happened with my son. Has anyone had any experience with this? Please for the love of everything tell me it gets better with time. I have an appointment with a lactation consultant on Friday. ?Hopefully she can help.

Don't think it's thrush, they don't itch or burn it's only during a letdown. I know it's not a clog, I've had a few of those and I always have less output and pain all day not just the letdown. I had little spotting when I started the mini pill a few months ago but haven't had bleeding since. I didn't think about that. Maybe I'm about to start.

Have you gotten your first PP period yet? This happened to me the week before I started my period my nipples were so sore and let downs were super painful! Not sure if it's the same in your case! Our bodies are strange!

been told i have sciatica.. the pain in my lower back and bum cheak is awful i was in tears last night with it its that bad.. its where baby is on the sciatic nerve (biggest nerve in body that runs right down the spine) never had this before dosnt help with my baby being breach.. was just wondering if any other mummies have had or are having this? and what dis you do to ease the pain? hurts mostly when i go to sit down.. even for a wee.. 😢
