When I was with my ex we had a lockable storage trunk 2' depth 3' width for larger items that we didn't want displayed. They are very affordable and if you put a blanket and throw pillow on it it creates extra seating and makes it very discrete.

If it's just a couch I say just get it and don't make a big deal about it. For all anyone knows it's just a couch. We don't buy big stuff because we haven't seen anything that we haven't been able to find a substitute in our house for. I don't like buying things I have to store in general, though. I only buy stuff that already has a home. So like vibrators and small stuff like that just goes in a box in our bathroom closet. Our kids aren't allowed in our bathroom alone because we keep all medicine in there, so we know they won't get into our stash.

They probably have like a big walk in closet or something they can store stuff in. Idk, DH and I just get the small stuff lol.

I used to clean a house where the parents had a sex swing hanging right in there door way from the bathroom into the Masters. They had two kids.. I wondered myself how they keep the kids off it ?
