Yikes. We were lucky. Lost some big branches but nothing hit the house. It was quite the storm. Where do you live?

We have a generator just in case. Seriously invest in one! They come in handy.

I knew pretty quickly the power probably was going to be out a while. We had storms roll through earlier yesterday that had hail and strong winds too. I saw on the news that over 5k of people still didn't have power from the first round of storms. It came back on about an hour ago, so I can't complain lol. ?

I figure if you would have just left them in the freezer without opening the doors it would have acted as a cooler. Apparently it's too late now but when our electricity goes out during a storm we make it a point not to open the freezer and it will stay cold. However, when we have power outages caused by storms they don't usually last too long. I don't know how it is where you are.

We're good!! 2 coolers is enough, they are in the bathtub incase they leak. The milk didn't thaw at all. It started to hail again when I was driving there which was so loud in the car, but I didn't see any dents so I think I'm good lol ?? Hopefully the powers back on by morning.

I had this happen when I was breast feeding twins. I borrowed my parents' generator for our deep freezer in the event we lost power! Just don't open the freezer at all! Things will stay frozen in there for a few hours at least! Hopefully your power will be back on soon!
