My extended family sucks pretty much. I'm white and my dh is Hispanic. A lot of my extended family has issues with that, so I cut them all out. I only talk to my Dad, and my sister on my Dad's side. Also I only talk to one cousin on my Mom's side. So family get togethers only envole me, dh, our kiddos, and sometimes my Dad if his current wife is out of town. She is c*** so I don't interact with her at all.

Dh's family lives nine hours away, so we only get to visit 2-3 times a year with dh's work schedule. They are awesome though. He is the only one who married someone that isn't Hispanic, and they have loved me from the start. I would much rather spend time with them than my own extended family.

I visit particular people in my family in secrecy ?

If it's not a secret I'll have 25 people trying to visit in one day when all i want to do is see my mother ?

I used to like them but my family just annoys me now. I avoid all gatherings.

That's why we don't have get togethers. I like my stuff more than I do family.

I don't get to see my extended family. I always get sad around the holidays when everyone else is getting together with their big families, and it's just me and Ivy. That's what happens when you're the only part of your family living in another country. It's just me my parent my little brother and my little girl. I wish I got the chance to be irritated by my family lol. I get it though. I just kinda feel like I miss out on something by not getting that experience lol.
