Pictures falling off the walls
That's how low the helicopters are when they come through. I live next to Camp Atterbury the military base and they are practicing helicopter drills, so every 25 minutes is a new helicopter coming through. When they do that, it shakes my house and pictures fall of the walls. I always have to take down certain things when I hear them coming. Anyone else live on or next to a military base?
We live about 20 minutes away from base and they fly a lot.of helicopters over our house, when my mom lived here she lived closer to the air force side (it's a joint army-airforce base) and she wpuld get the huge planes (pregnancy braim can't remember the name of them right now Lol) and those were louder. But sometimes the Chinook helicopters fly so low it sounds like they are hovering over the house and it shakes. Our dogs and ds are so use to it now, we also live close to the ranges so we hear all the artillery. Doesn't bother me one bit lol.
I used to live next to one, the house would shake when they did some things. My grandpa called it mortars, not sure what they are really but it shook my house and there was always machine gun sounds and helicopters. A ways down the road there was a place where tanks were always driving through. I liked it though, plus I was a dependent so I got to go on base and everything in the post exchange was cheap. I got a nice hair straightener for $14 once lol.
I live on an army base but luckily I’m not near either of the airfields! Although if artillery is out in the field they’ll have my windows rattling sometimes or if anyone’s at the range we can definitely hear it.
