Missangels, it is! American buttercream is so sugary that it kind of misses the point of being "buttercream". French or italian buttercream have the rich buttery flavor. I find italian to be a pain in the butt to make though lol, french is much easier.

Kirby, french buttercream sounds delicious!!!

I don't often share my buttercream secret.....but I will :) try french buttercream instead of American buttercream. It's richer and I like working with it a lot better too. Stays a little stiffer and the taste is unique and to die for!

Well I didn't make it as thick and I realized once I started putting it on so I need to thicken it up next time :)
