Well our blue book is 1000 for the car. That's not going to be enough or compensate what we have in that car.

If the guy hit your car, and it's considered a total loss... They will give you the cars worth in money compensation. They as in the person at fault insurance co.

They will pay for repairs but most likely since your car was hit from the front it is considered a total loss therefore the other person'a insurance will pay for your car based on what it is worth on the blue book.

Also, they will pay for your car seat if you mention it.

Let the insurance company know you had a car seat in the car. If you have the receipt of when the car seat was purchased I would let them know that also.

Since the guy crossed the line he's at fault. His insurance company will cover the repairs. Contact them asap and file a claim. Inform them there was a carseat in the car, they will reimburse you for it. If your car is deemed totalled they would have to reimburse you a check for the value of your car. That's what I'm thinking hopefully he has to pay for everything. The car has 210,000 miles on it so its not worth the repairs that need to be made, so at this point we will have to get a new car.

I believe the guys insurance company will pay for repairs to your car seeing as the other driver was at fault. File a claim! I hope you made a police report ! Glad your husband is okay!
