My son has his front teeth in now but I seen another post talking about lip ties. I had so many problems with him latching when I was breastfeeding. Does he have a lip tie? And was that why I had so many problems?
FATHER GOD, I had to edit this and bring it back up. There are so many new here so i wanted talk to get a chance to jump in with prayer!
So much negativity I feel like there's so many negative comments on here...
Ridiculously chapped lips Help me! This has been going on for months but only intensified since getting pregnant. I have tried so many different types of chapsticks, lip balms, moisturizers, lip masks and treatments, and even some all natural methods, but nothing has helped. I literally have chunks of skin peeling off my lips. This has never happened to me before.
I see so many mommies giving their babies rice cereal to sleep even though it's not recommended? Why?
I dont understand how circumcision, breastfeeding, and molding your babys head fresh out the womb became such a big deal all of a sudden so many wrongs and people against it, havent seen the problem back then with my other three pregnancy's smh this generation gets on my nerves 😒

Is it a cause for concern with his teeth now that hes getting older?

Yes it is. My dd is 16 mo old and has the same. Her dentist says that it shouldn't affect her teeth, but there is always a possibility. It might break on its own, if so there will be a lot of blood. If it doesn't the dentist can do a quick outpatient laser surgery.

It will make a huge gap between her two front teeth, that is fire sure why she had latch problems.

My niece had this and still does 4th grade. Her teeth look perfect, no gaps.

My dad is a dentist and he says lip ties are no concern to ur teeth. Apparently some dentists will tell u so: which just results in them making money out of u to cut it!! Goodluck

My son had a tongue tie that was clipped in the hospital because he was having trouble latching. He still wouldn't latch a month later and I discovered he had a lip tie too. By that point I was already exclusively pumping so I was just like fxck it. Haha - looks like a lip tie to me.

My sister had one and had removed when she was 28. It was like gum overgrowth on front teeth and caused a minor gap. Quick and easy procedure.

That's a lip tie. My son has it too. He only has 4 top teeth so far so he has a gap. I had problems breastfeeding too. My son kept losing his latch.
