I have two business professional interviews tomorrow. Do you think this is appropriate? Does it look okay?
Well I have two second interviews and got offered another position :) don't think the outfit did too bad!
Congrats on the second interview OP! I would change the top to something a little more professional if you have it. Also what type of environment will you be working in? Because the type of job you're going for influences how you should dress. (Example- I wouldn't show up to a management position without wearing something tailored)
But you look great! That's just my advice for the future.
I know you've already interviewed at this point, but in case other interviewee's are reading this i think we should clarify what kind of job this is for, becuase I also do a lot of hiring, and i would not have suggested this outfit, whereas i see another HR manager would have. I would have suggested a button down vs. your Tshirt and a bigger blazer.
and just to note, i hire administrative professionals if that helps.
The blazer needs to be bigger or at least longer. Wear a white or grey blouse and tuck it under your pant with a nice red belt. You will look more professional with with a touch of style that way instead of showing too much sexyness because everything on the top looks too tight for any prof interviews.
The only thing showing is my necklace the shirt just swoops and my necklace is right there no boobs.
There isn't any cleavage showing at all not even a little crease of boob at the top of the shirt.
Well the thing is I have no money (hints the interviews) its either go get a different outfit or get groceries this week. All the clothes that are professional business that I have are before baby, they do not fit me. This is really the only thing I have that isn't too small. :(
It's not so much that it looks too small, but since it hugs your body, depending on the interviewing it might be seen as unprofessional.
Banana Republic has really great blazers that aren't so form fitting but also aren't huge and boxy.
You always want to make the best first impression possible and not leave the potential employer from wondering whether you'll be a sexual harassment liability.
(Not being critical at all, I think it's a cute look, just not for an interview) :-)
The blazer is x-large and flowy tops make me look huge :( I tried on like 15 flowy shirts and they all made me look way overweight for my size.
From one person working in a professional atmosphere...it looks fine..only thing I would make sure is that your shirt is not cut too low..
