How Did I Store 41oz of Breast Milk in 2 Days?

@baby I think your right! I started leaking so I started self expressing into a bottle, and I seriously self expressed 5oz in no time. It just streamed out xD

@momma nope that's what the hospital nurses thought too when I told them she latched shallow. But they checked, and she doesn't. She doesn't always suckle the tip, I know she is able too suck normal but she is just lazy lol

Are you sure she doesn't have a tongue tie? My daughter is almost two and the pedi just noticed she had one which I what made breastfeeding so painful for me because they can move the lips right to get a better latch

@1boy I'll have to try that. My son never had a shallow latch, but my girl is stubborn lol. I hope I can correct it soon!

How soon did you start pump after lo was born? I'm pregnant with my second child and I want to store milk this time. I didn't dry up but I had tons of milk at first then I had very little. I'm so happy for you being able to pump all the milk. Sorry about the chapped and cracking. With my son I was happy when I got 5 oz in a day but I had a terrible manual pump :(.

@1girl it's only painful because my nipples are so chapped from DD using them as a pacifier. She refuses to suck one whole nipple sometimes, and just sucks the tip. Chaps them so badly

I literally bawled the whole time of a 45min feeding because of how chapped my left side is. It fills up so fast. So it gets pumped more

I have lanolin cream and it works great, but I still get chapped sometimes

My pump is a Medela.

My little girl won't take a bottle right now. No matter what kind of nipple I buy, so I'm just storing all my pumped milk. She skin to skin breastfeeds about every 2 hours. Right now if I don't pump after every feeding I get engorged within 3 hours, even with feeding her

And yes pumping hurts if your nipples get sore. ? my nipples get so chapped and I have to cry sometimes, but it's SO worth it. I just suck it up.

When I was breastfeeding my son I dried up around 5 months. I tried everything and I still dried up, that's another reason why I am trying to get as much saved up now.

:( I used to pump that much then all the sudden it just stopped, I tried everything to get my supply back and nothing ??? i miss being a milk machine, I want it back ?????
