I don't think you have a right to say anything seeing how your cats roam free as well. You never know your cats could be pissing in their sandbox or scratching their stuff up. I'd just causally mention it to then and see if there's a middle ground

For the food situation maybe put a high table out and put the food up on it since cats can jump and the dogs can't. That's what I do with my outdoor cats.

I know I can't say they never roam, but I'm a sahm and Iv never seen my cats in anyone's yard.

It's just sucks that the dogs bully my cats :(

Outdoor, no leash, no fence, just running around pooping in my yard, that bites. I can't stand owners who let there dogs run free unleashed.....

I'm in California, and everyone has 6 foot tall fences, so I haven't dealt with this. Could you put up a fence?

@ wish we are planning too, not because of the dogs, just so we feel safer about the kids playing. But we just bought the house so that is going to be a "further down the line" project

I don't see how it's legal to just let your dog go onto someone else's property. I'd call the pound next time they come.

chicken wire around your yard for the time being until you get a fence. keeps dogs out and your cats wont be bullied goodluck

It has gotten worse. They came into my yard last night and were barking and growling at my 67 year old grandmother. Also they have been chasing my cats up trees and then my cats won't come back down.

My make cat was stuck up a tree for 3 days with no food before I could find someone to come get him down. And yes I had to pay.

The very next morning my female is stuck up in a tree.

They just come into our yard all the time, and if one of them bites my son I'm going to lose it.

If it's gotten worse then it's time to talk to your neighbors. Yeah they could bring up your cars roaming but your cats aren't terrorizing anyone like their dogs are. Chasing poor cats is one thing but now they are being aggressive to you family op.

I don't like carry prints on my car out digging in my garden only to find cat s*** . But cats are way different then dogs. As long as you have your cats up to date on their shots and have then licensed with the city, then you are within your right to let them be out for cats. Most cities require that of all your animals, indoor and out. You can ask the police department what laws they have on vaccination and registration on pets.

Most cities have a leash law with dogs. Contact you police department and ask if there is a leash law. Also ask them what can be done when a dog is showing aggression towards someone. That is very very dangerous.

Protect your family before anything happens to your poor grandma or son! NOT OK.

Ummm why isn't there a fence?

To my understanding the dogs have to be in the owners property otherwise theyr "running at large" even if they have collars they need to stay in their property...they r becoming a nuisance to ur property and a danger to ur cats and grandmother. I say call the cops or warn the neighbors when theyr dogs go on ur porch and chase ur cats.

I would really recommend keeping your cats indoors until you can build a fence, that's scary. Continuing to let them out is asking for trouble, even though it's a situation you shouldn't have to deal with.

@lovemysunshine no one has fences here, we are in a rural small town. It's not like a big city or anything.

@wishing keeping the cats inside is not an option, after we moved to re new house they started behaving badly (peeing and popping on the floor) also they tear up my sons things

Have you considered re homing the cats . I feel bad for any animal living outside , but even more when they have to deal with dogs attacking them
