Soda is the new Alcohol?
My soon to be SIL just got bashed on Facebook for drinking soda while pregnant.
She tried to make a joke about it, and the person came back on her harder, So she definitely wasn't joking when she said it
That's dramatic for sure. Yes, soda probably isn't the most healthy beverage choice out there, but its FAR from alcohol. Its not remotely on the same level. It's not like you're going to give your baby fetal alcohol syndrome. It's pretty much just sugar and caffeine.
In moderation, soda is no big deal. It sounds like some women just like to judge others for just about anything.
I agree that it's ridiculous of them to give her such a hard time amount some soda, but caffeine is not they only thing bad about it. It has tons of sugar, even worse in the form high fructose corn syrup...then if it's diet the artificial sweeteners are bad. 6 cans a day is insane. Imo drinking that amount regularly is just as bad as occasional alcohol.
I drink caffeine occasionally and my daughter is growing above average.
People will find anything to bash pregnant women and mothers for, yet I'm sure over half of them have drank caffeine during pregnancy at some point. The doctor will even tell you a little caffeine here and there isn't bad. People really need to get a life.

I call it soda 🥤
I cringe when females say they don't like water and all they drink is soda and juice.... yuck lol
Can pineapple soda cause contractions or labor
