One time when I was with my ex, him and a bunch of his friends and me were all standing in the kitchen having drinks and talking, my ex put his hand down the back of my pants to feel on my butt (I was facing everyone so no one was behind me) and he felt a string. He obviously didn't think about it, but he pulled on it really hard thinking it was a string off of my clothes. ??? is probably what my face looked like ??? he was like omg sorry! When he realized, but of course he had to tell his friends what happened because they were all like wtf. Lol

When I was in high school I was talking to this guy named Jeff for a while, we were both invited to a friends house for a New Year's Eve party.

Jeff and I get extremely drunk and we wind up have sex.

So we're going at it and all of a sudden I feel sticky and wet on my butt and stomach. So I reach down to find out what it is and there is blood EVERYWHERE.

I had been on my period a few days before and I thought I was completely done. I guess the sex made me start again.

He's so drunk he doesn't even notice, so I tell him to stop right now and we both go get in the shower to wash off.

In the shower he grabs my face and tells me "it's okay baby! If we had been married for 20 years, this wouldn't even be a big deal. So it's okay!"

And I'm crying because I'm so embarrassed.

He was so nice and he helped me clean the couch up the best we could. And my friends were so nice about it too. Thank god!

I still throw it in my mom's face ?

She refused to admit it was actually my period until I'd had it a few months.

My dad had to buy my pads for months ?

Now I make her uncomfortable every chance I get by discussing my period, and blood flow ect.? pay back.

When I got my period for the first time, I asked my mom not to tell anyone because I was so embarrassed. Next thing I know my Dad walks in, hugs me, congratulates me, and tells me he's so proud of me because I'm now a young lady?. Then my aunt calls and does the same thing ?. Thanks Mom.

I came on at my Grandmas house, I think it was only my 3rd or 4th and I was totally unprepared - I took her aside and explained and asked if she maybe had anything, she disappeared off and came back saying 'it's been a while since I've needed to use anything for that, however I've got this, it will have to do until we can go to the shop!' And help out a nappy!(diaper) smh - surely it was a hella lot longer she needed to use one of those! I was so mortified ??

The first time I got mine, I had been up all night playing PlayStation(you know the original?).

I fell asleep in the recliner. When I woke up there was blood everywhere. The whole chair was soaked, I was covered, it was nasty.

So I called my mom at work.

"Hey mom, so, um, I started my period."

"No you didn't. Your too young."

"No, I'm pretty sure I did. There is blood everywhere."

"Well what do you expect me to do?"

"I don't know, buy me some pads or something?"

"We will talk about this later. I'm at work, your not old enough for your period and I'm not having this conversation."

"What do I do until you get home?!?"

"I don't know, ask your father."

I seriously had to ask my dad to buy me pads when I was 11. Then he gave me the period talk, and told me all about all the different kinds of pads. Explaining that this topic makes my mom uncomfortable and if I have questions to ask him.

Yeah.... Riiiggghhhtttt.

I never got the sex talk either.

My mom sucked.

Dad was great, if extremely awkward.

I kick-box with a group of friends from work. Last week we arrive at the gym and all sit chatting before our session. I sit there thinking to myself I feel a bit strange down there. Well I look and my light grey workout bottoms are covered in blood at the crotch. My period came early and a lot heavier than normal. I was so embarrassed and was like "ladies I've gotta go home".

I started my period at school one day. I used tissue paper until I got home. All my mom had was pads at the time. Well I didn't know there was a sticker you had to take off. So I just set the pad in my underwear and went on with my day. I was in sweat pants. My mom started busting out laughing at me. I was so confused. I asked what the issue was and she said "uhm. Did you take the sticker off? You have a little tail..." Oh my gosh I about DIED of embarrassment.

When I started.. I called my sister into the bathroom. I told I was bleeding and what happened. lmao. She returned to the bathroom with a bandaid. What a batch. (Trust me. This is an endearing term) I think I sat on the toilet for 40 min. I wS so scared to get up.

The first time I ever got my period. I was in 8th grade at a school with a dress code. I was in white pants. Naturally ? I couldn't even tie my sweater around my waste because I was too lazy to put on a shirt that day. It was a horrible day. And school year after that.

Right after I had just started my period, I think it was the 2nd or 3rd month of having it, my friend took me camping.

My mom never gave me "the talk" and I was left with second hand info from my dad. Well neither of my parents would buy me tampons so I was stuck with pads.

We were going swimming in the lake, and I didn't want to bleed all over my swim suit.

I stupidly wore a damn pad in the water ?.

It started falling apart and bits were floating around me. I was horrified, so I took it off and left it in the water and swam away ?

Then we had to pack up and leave and I didn't get a chance to put a new pad on. It was a 3 hour drive home, while bleeding all over my swimming towel.

I think back on it and I'm disgusted with myself for that entire situation. I should have just mentioned it to my friends grandma and she would have bought me some tampons. But no. No I had to do that and leave that nasty thing in the water like an a****** .

My niece had a "goth" birthday party one year and our entire family dressed up. I was wearing a black vinyl dress and fishnet stockings. Vinyl+100 degree weather=misery.

By the time we got home I was ready to tear that dumb thing off. I ran to the bathroom and unbeknownst to me my tampon string has entangled with the fishnet. I stripped the dress off in a hurry and then pulled the stockings down with a strong TUG, which in turn strongly tugged my tampon string. Have you ever tried to pull a tampon out when you weren't relaxed or trying? It's wedged in there like a pin bone in a fish filet. I made a low "huuuuuurrrrrggghhh" and thought someone was trying to rip out my belly button via my vagina. You don't make that mistake twice!

I had my period and was visiting my bf at his dad's. Well his dad was at the neighbors house and we were cuddling on the couch. I got up for something and there was a huge blood spot on the couch! I was so embarrassed and worried his dad would come back and see it before we could do something about it. Well my bf quickly looked up how to get blood out of fabric and he found that vinegar should help so he went and got some on a tissue and scrubbed as hard as he could. We got the blood out but the couch was WET and the whole house smelled like vinegar. Luckily no one ever said anything but it was so embarrassing. ????

In middle school I had just started my period and didn't know it came every month (mom never gave me "the talk") well I started one day at school and was wearing khaki pants and it was soaking through. I thought I peed myself so I walked to the bathroom and everyone was snickering because the blood was soaking ? I think I was the first in my class to get her period and I was sooo embarrassed lol

I had my period when I was 13 and went to a water park. I went down a water slide and my tampon string shot WAY UP THERE. I called my mom at work on a pay phone to find out what to do. My sister told her BF (now husband) the story a few years later and he seriously LOVED to make fun of me in front of people in high school. I still don't get why he told people about it!!!

When I first got my period I used to wear huge bulky pads with baggy panties. Well I went to school one day in a skirt and I had my period. During the day my pad shifted forward and was poking out lifting my skirt like a pup tent. I looked like I had a morning woody. Needless to say someone pointed it out and I was the butt of jokes for a long time. ??
