My daughter doesn't need it to fall asleep but she does normally fall asleep while nursing. It relaxes them so much that I think she will keep falling asleep at the boob for as long as I nurse her!

My daughter was born 3 weeks early as well. My oldest (now 8) was born a week late. They both co slept with me and my daughter (8 months) still falls asleep while she nurses. She doesnt even take pacifiers anymore, although sometimes i wish she did rather than needing my boob in her mouth.

My LO does, and she was born two weeks early, but like she said ?? I don't think that makes a difference. Instead of them falling asleep using a pacifier they do it with our nipple.

Yes, my boy does. He was 3 weeks early, but I don't feel that plays a part in why he falls asleep while nursing. We co-sleep and he nurses to sleep. A habit I have tried to break but either my resolve is too weak or my methods are ineffective. It's comforting to him, I get that.
