Hey everyone,
I have an etiquette question: my coworkers are throwing me a baby shower tomorrow and some of them have already gotten me a gift which arrived at my home. I have already given them a thank you note and thanked them in private, but was wondering what, if anything, I should do or say at the actual shower? Or am I overthinking this? Thank you in advance! Oh, and I have a cute bag of “shower items” ready to give everyone at the party too as an additional thank you/ hostess gift.
@moseywoahs, gotcha! You could always cloths line hang the onesies as decor, or not at all. Just an idea! Honestly, though, I wouldn’t even worry - If you’ve thanked them already then you’re good! I’m sure they each with probably still get you something else (nobody likes to go to a party empty handed!). As I opened the new gifts, I’d just say something like, “you’re so kind! You shouldn’t have - you’ve already gotten me those washcloths!” and then just send a new “thank you” their way.
@jennatess, they got me some adorable onesies and washcloths from our registry. The bassinet idea sounds adorable! I’ll have to keep that in mind for future showers! Thank you so much for your response too!
I love etiquette issues! Haha!
What did they get you, If you don’t mind me asking?
I ask because my mother in law has previously gotten me a very cute little bassinet, so, I had that set up with a sign to place gifts I’m and around the bassinet. So, it became a sort of decor item for the shower (it also made adorable pictures of the gifts in the bassinet.).
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

A Statement from Mom.Life:
Hey everyone!
Last night, a new user began messaging our moms asking for private pictures of toddlers and young children. This is obviously unacceptable behavior, and the account was banned immediately. Although thankfully extremely rare on Mom.Life, several users were understandably upset by this, so we wanted to clarify a few things:
First off, Mom.Life has an absolute zero tolerance policy for child abuse and those who would prey on children. We strive to ...
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

@jennatess, thank you so much! I am not part of decorating, but if I was I love that idea. I’ll just thank them again and try to mention it at some point if I can work it in without being weird, ha ha. Thanks again!
