Rice cereal has no nutritional value at all that’s why I used oatmeal cereal with my daughter. Also it’s recommended to wait till 6 months to give any solids. I gave my daughter solids at 5.5 months cause she was ready. Also NEVER put cereal in a babies bottle unless the doctor advices you to due to reasons like acid reflux. NEVER add it because you think it will keep the baby fuller.
Better off skipping cereal all together. Solids begin at 6 months. Every baby is different, but their digestive systems are not. The stomach lining before 6 months is almost open “open gut” and cannot support and process solid foods before that time. Early on feeding can set your child up for lifelong health issues.
I would just ask your pediatrician! It all depends on the baby since every single one is different 😊 my pediatrician recommended my baby start at 4 months, but like others have said what works for others may not work for you!
@guevarasarai1995, I agree with the other mom’s and I would definitely do research first! But my baby girl did fine with it. Every baby is different so if you were to start early, I would do a tiny bit at a time. But definitely talk to your pediatrician first.
What works for other mom's might not work for you. Do some reading. Cereal is usually for a medical reason and it should never go in a bottle of a baby who can't sit up. It's best to wait 6m and start feeding REAL food.

The new recommendation is to wait until 6 months or all the signs of readiness. Check out the American paediatrics website for more info and talk to your daughters pediatrician. https://www.healthychildren.org/English/ages-stages/baby/feeding-nutrition/Pages/default.aspx

Food is not recommended before 6 months. But some drs will say 4 months. My baby didn't even like food until around 10 months.
