Somethings gotta give.
When you're picking out big sturdy trees on your way home that you think will make it all go away, you know you have an issue.
My baby girl loves me. My baby due in June is relying on me to keep her strong. But in the back of my mind I can't help but think how much better off they would be. I've never suffered with depression. I'm not going to diagnose myself either out of respect who truly do suffer from it. But all I can say is if this what people with depression faces on the daily, I salute you. Youre strong and wonderful and everything I wish I was. Because I can't do this. What does this world need with me anyway? Aside from my babies I have nothing. And even then....they have plenty of people who love them so deeply.
This is absolute hell.

I’m so sorry you’re feeling like this. Have you spoke to your dr? Your babies need their mom. 💖

I am so sorry you’re feeling like this. I have no real advice and hope someone will come along to be more help soon but please remember your babies may have lots of people who love them but no one can ever replace you in their hearts. Be strong for them and please seek medical advice if you haven’t already. ❤️❤️

Nothing and nobody can replace you. No matter how much other people love your children. A mother and a mothers love is above all else. Please seek help tho. Your children need you more than anything!

Please, please, reach out for help.
Even if its just to call a hotline to speak to someone. Let your doctor know how you feel, don't gloss it over either. Its okay to struggle, its okay to FEEL, if you're able to insurance wise, please consider counselling. You're not alone. ❤

Please talk to your doctor. These are feelings that can be temporary (although it feels like hell)...please don't make a decision that will permanently effect your babies. I have a dear friend who has suffered all their life because their parent made a permanent decision over temporary feelings, and the fact that their parent chose to leave them is something they can't overcome, despite years of therapy. Please get help! You are the world to your babies and probably a lot of other people.

All of this just hit me the hardest today even though I've felt it slowly building over the last 6 months or so, so I haven't called a Dr. thinking it was just hormones. I don't know even where to start with seeking help. I went to my recovery doctor today but he wasn't much help. Just gave me a hug and wanted me to adjust my meds but those types of meds won't help with this. All I've done is cry today and my husband is the type who totally ignores me when I try to talk about how I'm feeling or if I cry. I can sense his extreme aggravation with me coming home to me just laying there while the house is in shambles and I look like death. My 2.5yo has seen me cry all day and I feel that much more guilty. I don't know why I feel this way. I have a wonderful life. I own my own home, vehicles, I'm financially blessed even being a stay at home mom which is my dream. My family is healthy. I have the good Lord. From the outside looking in most people would die to have my life. I have nothing to complain about. Yet i dread getting up of the mornings. I have no motivation to clean my home, I just look at it and sigh and walk away because the energy and motivation is non existent, even to shower, go out, making myself eat. All the while I have less than a month before my other daughter is due. It's so bad that I haven't even gotten anything she and I will need but a few clothing items and the crib my daughter never used. I don't have time for this bullshit. I have no time to sit around and cry and feel bad. But I just don't know how or what to do with the little time I have before my due date. I have no body here to help me either so that is out of the question. I have myself.

Also, I want to add. I am religious. I don't believe good things come from suicide and I realistically would never leave my babies without their mommy...its more-so a feeling. I don't want anyone think I am contemplating suicide even though the statement about me picking a tree was thrown out there, their is no way I would ever put my babies through it.

@krs1415, depression doesn’t discriminate I to am a stay at home mom I have 4 kids pregnant with my fifth married 10 years, new house the works and I’ve also lived the opposite with much less and I feel no different . People aren’t depressed because of their situation most of the time it’s just chemical.
I have a hard time getting out of the house and ordered all my baby stuff online I did not leave the house to buy one item!!
Maybe you also have a chemical imbalance but the only one who can do that is a dr .
Try and see one ASAP it can make a world of a difference

@mamacheybb Yeah, that makes sense. I was just thinking that it could be situational depression since I've never gone through it before. I thought true depression/the chemical imbalance showed up earlier in life. Thank you for educating on me that, I had no idea! I guess I just assumed you had to have a reason to be so unhappy. 😥 I have alot of research to do on it and talking to do with a doctor. My mom has always suffered from depression, she has a chemical imbalance and has been on Zoloft since I was 2. My entire family on both sides suffer from it. Is it even hereditary?

I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way. I wish I could give you a huge hug and make it melt it away. You said you’re religious, so maybe some scripture will help. Mediate on how much God loves you (more than you love your own children! Wow, right?), how SIGNIFICANT you are, how fearfully and wonderfully made you are, how full of purpose your very existence is. Really, truly have a quiet moment of prayer with the Lord and acknowledge these things as often as you can remember to. Even if you have no words, God knows your heart and what you’re feeling better than any of us can.
“How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me.” Psalm 139:17-18.

No one will love you like a mother. I used to suffer from severe depression. I’m one of those people that truly needed the medication and it was like a miracle! I was on it for a few years and it saved my life. I weaned off of it, and used my learned coping mechanisms to deal with life. Life is amazing and my mind allows me to see and feel it :). Please talk to your doctor. It’s nothing to be ashamed of, not something you want to hide, they aren’t going to take your kids, they aren’t going to look down on you. Take this step to gain control of your life. Your children deserve this and so do you!
Mamachey·
@krs1415, yes it can be hereditary and the chemical more so like bipolar 1&2 sometimes you don’t realize it because some people tend to be in the manic type phase for a very long time and can just appear to be chatty Cathy’s that have bad spending habits and a tad hyper some it’s not until major changes in life . There’s no real right answer . You should make sure to tell your dr about your family history and what they have as well as what med your moms on. There’s no for sure that it will work for you but it may be a good starting point . That’s also the only med they had worked for me and luckily it’s a friendly med that doesn’t make have a tonne or nasty side effects.
