10/10 would not recommend quitting exclusive pumping cold turkey. I think I'm about over the worst of it, and it's a miracle that I didn't give myself mastitis doing it this way, but this was certainly an adventure I'm happy I'll not be doing again! (Yes, I researched how to dry up milk supply the proper way, but after chronic clogged ducts, almost no sleep and a hectic schedule as a preemie mom to a son with several medical complications...I needed to get this done ASAP!)
@techie_grrl hi I’m so sorry for the late reply I need to remember to come on this app. Thank you so much update little guys is doing well and we are waiting to get home soon
@denise.zahuig oh, goodness I'm sorry he's in NICU... My son was there for 79 days, and it is so so hard trying to find any sort of balance with that. I hope that he will be well enough to come home soon. And really... Don't beat yourself up over stopping pumping. I'm a huge breastfeeding advocate, and when that couldn't happen I thought "pumping will suffice!" And then my son developed allergies, refuses to eat by mouth and just one thing after another happened all leading to the decision to quit. I did feel guilty. But, a week out from stopping I'm feeling more physically and emotionally balanced.
Reading this makes me feel a bit better I have my son currently in the nicu and I stopped cold turkey ( so far I don’t have any issue, maybe I should check with my Doctor) but I felt horrible for not pumping I was still at work and had ppd and didn’t have support so I could t get it going now that I’m home I’ve tried to pump and nothing
That makes me happy to hear! My daughter was EBF, very few complications. But my son has been a whole different story, being early and in the NICU for 79 days. I felt sad about the decision to stop initially, but now that I'm not attached to a pump several hours a day I'm feeling better and have more time for him and my daughter.
I stopped after 2 weeks and getting bronchitis. It was too much. My 8 year old was exclusive formula. She’s a healthy big kid. Our son, he’s perfectly fine too 🙏🏻 Breastfeeding just didn’t work out for me. I had too many issues.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
No worries! That's wonderful that he will be home, soon! 😊
