I had my baby via emergency c-section May 1st,2018. My doctor allowed me to try to have the baby via natural vaginal birth from the moment I got to my room up until around 4:30 pm. What we saw was that with each contraction, my baby heart rate would lower significantly. So to avoid further complications we agreed to a c-section. For the first few days I felt like such a failure. I felt so helpless and sad that I didn’t get the natural child birth that I wanted. However, after processing things, I have to say that I am so glad that there are professionals who know how to perform major surgery because regardless of how I was able to bring my baby here, the love I feel for my precious baby is the same. This was such a humbling experience. Meet my baby Azrael, born May 1st, 2018 at 6:15pm. He was only 4 lbs 4 ounces at birth and spent 8 days in the NICU. I’m so thankful to God for bringing us both through.
@charlisiagunn, I never thought about it until my 5th c-section. I mean....We are still creating life 💖! I’m grateful too, we would probably die or our babies would if we didn’t have a c-sections! It’s a blessing really. And yes God has His hands on you and me both💕.
@joanna.marie939, I’ve been battling depression about that myself. I wanted to have a natural birth so bad. I had my midwife paid in full and everything. I planned a water birth. Never thought I would need an emergency c section. I felt like a failure and like I didn’t get to experience labor. But I’ve processed it and I’ve grown very thankful that professionals are able to perform such an emergency procedure. God had his hands on me and I’m so happy he kept me at that time. You’ll be ok just think about your babies, it was all worth it.
@charlisiagunn,I feel sad sometimes because I’ve never had a vaginal birth😔
@alanasmommy81815, babygirl you are the one that is strong 💪. Show me how to be as amazing as you are.
@joanna.marie939, wow you’ve had 4 going on 5 c sections. You truly are a strong woman. I was kind of concerned about how my next birth would go. Would I more than likely have to have another c section or will I have the chance at natural birth again. Will that cut you open with the same incision each time etc? Wow
@mommyof2preciousboys1216, now they check for scar tissue, if it looks good than you can have another one!
So I’ve had a c section and a 4th degree tear all in one delivery! I have to say recovery was way harder with a c section!!! Your are strong !!!
@joanna.marie939 wow you've had 4 csections I thought we were only allowed 3. I didn't know we could have more... Congratulations on your way baby on the way...
Same thing happened to me. Ive had 4 c-sections and this will be my 5th! We aren’t failures we just can’t have a vaginal birth.
The same thing happened to me. My daughter's heart rate dropped with every contraction. I also was disappointed about not doing it vaginally.. but after she was delivered I forgot about it all. Congratulations 🎉
