It’s actually very common. Mostly happens when you’re iron is low.

I crave it only when my iron is low or my hbg is low. It’s how I know I need to get blood work. It’s the graininess that we crave. It’s so bad. I eat ice to try and get my mind off of it. I go to the gas station 3 times a day🤦‍♀️ @gummybear728,

@gummybear728 @natasha_penney this only happens when I'm pregnant. I crave the smell of cleaning products a lot. The desire to actually put the laundry powder in my mouth just started.

@gummybear728 @natasha_penney definitely a real thing lol. It's called PICA. I have an iron deficiency.

@damnkmar20 I know what you said. But I've never heard of pregnant woman craving non-edible things..

@angienickel, i wouldnt be surprised if thats what it was i have iron deficiency i have really craved it recently due to me having a recent blood transfusion

Reminds me of when my mum was pregnant with my little sister and craved the charcoal we put on the grill! Didn’t realize this was common lol.

Ice helps me a little with not wanting to eat comet! I chew it to where it’s really small and grainy. I really want sand, dirt, comet, and clean cat litter. My mouth waters!!!

And make sure you go get blood work to make sure your not deficient on any important vitamins or nutrients
