Morning ladies, how are we all? I have another questions hope you don’t mind.

Just wondering wherever anyone has ever tested posting for Group B Strep (GBS) during pregnancy.

If so

— Did you have to be induced?

— What happened when you went into labor?

— What happened after baby was born?

I’ve tested positive and although they said it’s nothing to worry about, I can’t help but.

Thanks in advance xxx

I’m just worried because they said the antibiotics should be given to you 4 hours before baby comes, so as soon as your water breaks their given to you. But I’m just worried in case I don’t have 4 hours, with my first I had her 2 hours after my Water broke. This one might be different but it’s worrying.

I had it last pregnancy it's nothing to worry about (hard to do i know but) they'll just give you antibiotics during labour. I ended up having a c-section tho. They ain't testing me for it in this pregnancy just automatically giving me antibiotics because I'm trying for a VBAC.

My friend has it, she’s being induced for another reason but will be on a drip of antibiotics throughout labour, this is her third time too and her other babies were fine x

I’ve had GBS a couple of times. I was induced but for other reasons. I don’t think they induce you for gbs ordinarily. They gave me antibiotics in labour and monitored the babies for 12 hours after birth. X
