Has anyone else taken Zoloft when pregnant? My OB prescribed it because I’m stressed and depressed.

I was prescribed it about a month ago.....It made me very sick, at times I felt more depressed. I couldn't sleep at night and my whole body hurt. I took it two weeks and took myself off I didn't feel safe at all taking it I felt like it was hurting my baby. But everyone's different honey maybe it will help you unfortunately it didn't help me.

I feel like nothing is against me right now. Like I have no worries. I was just wanting other opinions on it. @aby1418,

I’m on Zoloft, it’s been working good for me. Dr prescribed it in 1st trimester when my insurance wouldn’t pay for my previous depression medicine!

I took it in my 3rd trimester, some days were good others were not.

I was prescribed it during my last pregnancy at around 32 weeks. I picked up my script at 33 weeks, 2 days and started it. My baby came two days later. I don't feel there is a correlation between the antidepressants and the premature birth, but I DO know I would have been a complete wreck the next several weeks without it. My stress and anxiety level was through the roof. They kept me a bit more level

@mommyof3. I truly don't believe that the Zoloft caused the spontaneous labor. I'd only started two days before he came, so it wouldn't have had quite enough time to titrate into my blood yet, anyways! My doctors were completely blindsided by it, because I'd had several non-stress tests and ultrasounds leading up to this event. They had only ever noticed that I was having a fair share of Braxton Hicks contractions and that my cervix had seemed a little short in the beginning.
