I'm watching a show called the handmaid tale. It's so sad I. Up to the first episode do people really live like that?

It’s a dystopian fantasy. Or....ominous fortune telling of our future.

I think the second season is out already, I gotta catch up.

I looove this show!! Its fiction but definitely sad at times! The 2nd Season just started, they release a new episode every Wednesday instead of the whole series at once this time. I'm hooked 😜

@hollyn216 I'm going to keep watching it but it's so sad now I feel like these women all in bondage and have no way out and God is good why do they make him not good it's all twisted

@verguinia, Yes its VERY twisted! Such a crazy and scary concept. My MIL and I get excited every Wednesday lol

@hollyn216 and how come there are other women who are not treated like them like the women in the house she lives with the blue dresses or the other lady who is in charge of them with the black scert ?

@verguinia, They aren't treated like that b/c those women aren't fertile, they are considered barren. They give them other jobs. &/or are a barren wife of a politician/wealthy.

And they took Janine's eye out to harshly "put her in her place" teach her not to disobey verbally/physically because when she got to the handmaid camp she was outspoken and rebellious.

@verguinia, it just makes them INSTANTLY known that they are a handmaid. They can be easier to monitor and watch and it segregates them from everyone else. Like you said earlier its such a twisted show!
