Our peanut failed his second hearing screening, only on the left ear, for the second time... we’re being referred to do the next level of testing. The testing lady said he got up to 90% on the left ear but then it dropped off all of a sudden. Anyone have any experience with this process? I know he’ll be fine either way but I can’t help but worry that he won’t be able to hear in one ear...

@mamabird228, no they didn’t... I had a very fast delivery with him though and he was really congested for the first few days so he could still have fluid I’m assuming. They told me that was the cause of his snorting and spitting up. My water broke and he was out 15 minutes later (2 pushes). Would have been faster but they wouldn’t let me push until the doc was ready. Is the ear massage something I could look up how to do?
Yeah it can be stressful, don't stress. Either way he'll be perfect.

@kambam, he’s 10 days old... I’m hoping we get our next appt sooner than later so we can figure out what is going on. We didn’t have to go through this with our first 2 LOs.
My friend has one deaf and her newest is deaf in one ear ☺ she just finished this whole process lol. Could be fluid for yours still but could also just be impaired!
